I would prefer this two tone green livery to the overall grey introduced on the 071s. That is going by the photos rather than seeing it myself.

Gaugemaster say they are out of stock but available to order:

They looks promising too, Eoin.

The appropriate action would, of course, be for the culprits to be quickly removed from society to a place of detention. However it seems they are now out on bail to repeat their behaviour at their convenience and cause further disruption wherever they please.

Very useful product , thanks.

I think Roxley is a reputable supplier - been around a long time. Hopefully it is just poor communication.

I passed through Dundalk station yesterday and 7601 looked very lonely standing by itself.

Does anyone want to repatriate 073 from sunny California?

The standard D has not been released yet.

The parking was truly bizarre - some comments on my other Forum - http://www.staffordforum.com/xf/index.php?threads/sat-1-feb-2014-model-railway-exhibition.13116/#post-214453 - it might be on top of a hill, but the whole place was a primordial swamp.
The sausage rolls are lovely - I have one every year.
Only One?

Let's hope something actually happens this time around.

I have only recently finished relaying much of the track on my layout. However, there is one gradient that is not easily accessed that I left alone. I might see if I can try out PowerBase there - if I can manage to reach it.
-
Has anyone used this new product from DCC Concepts? It appears to improve haulage capacity on gradients.
The only problem seems to be that the steel plates have to be fixed under the track.
Easy for a new layout but a bit more work when everything is in place.

Good choice, Brian.

Are you sure the damaged roof domes are only being caused by trees?

I see that 2004 was the Society's 40th Anniversary Year. So that makes 2014 ????? Golden ??????

What's wrong with the old method of cutting back the branches?

Obviously a lot of effort has gone into that fine model.

Happy Christmas everyone.

I don't know where they got their exchange rates but I haven't seen the US$ that strong for years! They don't seem to allow payment in dollars for delivery to Ireland.

I'm not so sure it was that good an advertisement for model railways. Tubridy seemed to suggest that it might not work, and it didn't perform too well. It was derailed before it even started and, well, the crash has already been mentioned.

Good to hear and well done to everyone concerned.

I missed this when it was originally posted. I agree that it is an excellent model.
