  1. Brilliant!!!
  2. Apparently there was a bit of an incident at Clogherhead church today. The visiting curate Fr. Hemingway went missing but eventually turned up at Bundoran after attempting to visit every location on the GNR. It seems he misunderstood the bishop’s instruction to do ‘all the stations.’ (Apologies if only those of a certain persuasion understand that!)
  3. And we have candles…..
  4. Thanks Noel Altar now added - in the style of the Pre-Vatican II churches! Also a statue above the front door and a date stone.
  5. JB it’s one of the many insane stories I have prepared for this, and you provided the perfect CATalyst!
  6. Yes good question! I guess Aer Lingus made up the shortfall later though!
  7. The lady who arranges the flowers in the church is called Lily Rose Tansey, and she has a cat called Peregrine (just to compound things, her husband is a top link GNR driver) and with a name like that there are definitely no mice to be found. She chose that name because it was always going to be a church cat, hence named after a bird of pray.
  8. Bell tower detail: louvres and roof.
  9. The parishioners now have somewhere to sit and kneel, and the priest has a roof and window on his sacristy. Just the altar to go and the interior will be complete.
  10. Wow that's a super prototype and a great model Kevin!
  11. Either!
  12. And the aforementioned PP was called Rev. Glen Farne…..
  13. I think you are onto something here GM, I have done a bit of research and apparently the sacristan team at the church included two sisters, Florence Court and Hazel Wood……
  14. The church now has a gallery, with stair access.
  15. Love the Bundoran Junction photo - not a common angle for photographers which make this view extra appealing!
  16. All services have ceased for the holidays……
  17. Mr. Weaver decided to have the mill carpentry team construct a life-size nativity scene for the season. Happy Christmas from Brookhall Mill
  18. Interior progress…….
  19. Don’t worry Leslie, once the interior is complete, there will be no confusion as to where headquarters lies! In fact, the coastal location of this church is very appropriate, when one thinks of ‘The Holy Sea…..’
  20. It’s actually a swarm of bees…..
  21. I am afraid the interior won’t be quite as ornate…..
  22. Front wall pebbledashed and floor going in:
  23. Great models, and I really like that shade of green!
  24. Looking superb!!
