  4. Hmmm, it's amazing the variety in the prototype - you can almost get away with anything in the model world Cheers Broithe - very helpful! (great photo too!) In other news, here's a sketch of the cement ' freight terminal / possible docks, not sure yet, board This board is in the middle left of the layout, the near side of Stairwell Bridge and the mainline heads left to the viaduct...
  5. Quick question - are platforms normally numbered in a particular 'direction' ie: If I was standing in the terminus, facing the throat, would the platforms be 1,2,3,4,5 from left to right? (I assume so, but you can never be sure )
  6. And the conclusion was basically 'ah shure spend a few bob now on the railway and twill all be grand. '
  7. Slightly better than the previous but still not up to much. The entire series was just fluff.
  8. Ah that's it. I'd rather the shake it's messing te perspective.
  9. Is it just me or is the video making anyone else a little dizzy?
  10. [video=youtube;o-vBolMo8_s] Absolutely stunning - you're making huge progress!
  11. The 800mil wide board would make a lovely through station area? Maybe a freight terminal on the island? Could use varying height boards to create a dockside?
  12. Not yet no, the light is terrible up there at the moment! Will head up in the morning light and try get some nicer shots!
  13. Sweeeet - great to see this on here Dave!!
  14. Some small layout updates today. The third freight yard siding was finally ballasted in, as was the next Terminus road. All the magnets for uncoupling on the roads, and the engine run-round for the terminus central platforms have been fitted and tested. Some of the wagons will need the kadee height 'tweaked' a little - its amazing the variation of height of the NEM sockets! Also, a rake of Tara Mines wagons have materialised courtesy of http://www.irishfreightmodels.com - stunners too I also painted and fitted the steps over the service pits and started a small path to allow access for the staff
  15. Looks good!!! Not on the Sky EPG as yet...
  16. Yep, the model numbers are just the tamping gear colour afaics. Mine has a sound chip fitted - not 100% sure if thats a factory option (I think it came that way from veisseman) It's worth it I think - it's certainly a dynamic, fascinating bit of kit to watch
  17. A van and a craven with an 071 ! A gorgeous example of 'slight' overpower
  18. Its a good one too josef, I've a few of those, and some built up Kibri kits of per way items. The odder the better when it comes to yellow stuff :) Will try get some time to dig everything out for more pics!
  19. Yay!!!! Can't wait to see more of this!
