Wow, wow, and another wow! The backscene is beautifully blended, and that station building! What can I say! The man's a genius!! Benches, station lights, a fence bins, phone boxes and some people and you'll have a stunning looking set up

Peco small and hornby 'small' / standard points are identical basically, both peco and hornby 'set track' points and geometries are identical and interchangeable.

Photographic Website Updates
BosKonay replied to thewanderer's topic in Photos & Videos of the Prototype
Use youtube - it's very simple and there are apps for most smart phones to do it directly, and you can embed the video directly. -
Awful photo, amazing flats! Don't want to spoil them by plonking containers on top

(The theory with the printed strip, is that is under the moving tie bar, so you ballast all the white bits safely)
-
They are small card 'inserts' that come with the Cobalt Motors. After you drill the hole for the motor armature to poke through, you are left with a big, 6mm hole - not good for ballasting! You slip the card insert under the point, and you get a neat little slot for the motor arm, and can then ballast safely without dropping ballast into the motor or under the board. They'll need a good whack of an airbrush too - you'd think they could have printed them with ballast (or even printed them grey )

Oh, and here are Dave (modelbaseboards) stunners on the right hand side, ready for the right hand loop and what will be a Whitehead inspired preservation depot:
-
The photos don't do them justice - they are stunning - all individually numbered, beautifully detailed and have a lovely weight to them! Next, I played with a new Kibri kit-built Plasser
-
As you can see in the last photo, I also fitted two more point motors under the board for the double slip. Next, I tested the freight sidings for length - with a rake of 12 of Hidden Agenda's 46' Container Flats!
-
Some Catch-Ups - finally got an hour or two upstairs today!! First off, RedRich sent me some Hurst Models orange piping/trunking - they look fantastic!
-
Lovely shots I'll start new threads with better photos of DSER 15, Merlin, Dunlice Castle and their sisters
-
I'd certainly be interested - what have you in mind?
