  1. Once everyone’s thinking about the local model shop!
  2. Or indeed accurascale’s
  3. The response to the website has been tremendous and heartening that the right call was made for the customers benefit.
  4. Indeed. quite the U Turn. Luckily we can see all the edits!
  5. Actually we have a dedicated mini warehouse with two colleagues in Darlington who only handle parts. When did you last interact? Maybe we've fixed the issues you previously encountered?
  6. That's the issue and why this reset was needed.
  7. In fairness, where is the hypocrisy? Massive discounting undercut small retailers, and hurt the manufacturer, leading to the closure of small retailers (we've lost 14 this year alone) and a downward spiral of customers waiting for the massive discount, again hurting the manufacturer. Any direct retailer customers of Heljan were given a heads up before the announcement. The only way to 'fix' it is a commercial reset. Which is what has happened. Anything else is just rose tinted goggles unfortunately, and we're enormously excited about what we can bring to this 70 year old Brand and legacy.
  8. Thats the question I guess. From a numbers basis we could do something like the 121 or C class for maybe 399-450 Pounds / 450-500€
  9. Would there be a market for a short run of irish 7mm? (like a 1000 unit limited run of something as much for the shelf as the layout?)
  10. A small packaging issue but we hope we can catch up again and get them here asap.
  11. It may be your ISP is using IPs that are austrian is some database. Just choose germany from the list and it should cop on. Or indeed bookmark https://www.accurascale.de/en
  12. Welcome Paul!
  13. Ultimately they are literally hand made and hand painted by our amazing team in China!
  14. No it’s to cover a loophole that we don’t use at all. It doesn’t apply as we already use the two legal and approved methods already for parcels under 150 and above
  15. They're in stock now, so between now and after payday / month end is grand
  16. The photo above shows the roof off and pcb in place. pop out the screws and you’ve full access to the interior without having to fiddle with the underframe.
  17. Thanks lads. It’s been quite the journey as we wanted to not simply make a unit but make a template for units that lead the space in realism, accuracy and fun to play Now the hard work has been invested, producing future units including Irish outline will be much simpler, quicker and cost effective.
  18. Good lord! Sorry to hear that Noel!!
  19. A proper update will be along shortly, but they are getting their final look over before moving to in transit, so should be 6-7 weeks away from landing on layouts!
  20. The Class 89 is a class of 1 and has sold better than the A class...
  21. Everyone has their own wishlist and perception of ‘what will definitely sell a million units’ However we’ve hard data going nearly a decade now including retailing Murphy Models and we know for example that on an average run of anything irish between a third and a half of the run doesn’t get sold in Ireland at all The accurascale support and merge has also seen hundreds of ‘new’ UK customers venturing into Irish outline simply by realizing they can run them alongside their OO stock and it’s something ‘different’ The current situation is as much a result of some staggeringly slowed and delayed projects buffering up to on time projects and pushing on planned projects all at once. The unfortunate result is a gap in supply for a while followed by a glut. I’m happy to see lots of suggestions here that we have either tooled or CAD complete or research underway so rather than (slightly rudely) suggesting we should ‘listen to our customers’ perhaps remember we exist because we are customers who didn’t feel listened to We love the feedback and suggestions and really value them and the support but you can also trust we are doing the best we can with the resources and timelines we have to work with. As i said it’s a golden age of irish modeling. Onwards and upwards!
  22. My point was there was no bundle discount before the price change. The effective price to the customer moved 20% and you also got loyalty points and a range of other goodies. The prices before were, frankly and openly, unrealistic and entire subsidised by the accurascale side of the business. Basically our UK outline customers were paying part of the cost of every IRM thing sold, and we've been weaning the pricing away from that model so that IRM can justify standing on its own feet. The prices didn't go up, they now just actually reflect the cost of the things. We do have a lot of backlog and stuff to deliver, and absolutely pita, projects like the ICR and Park Royals which have been a rock around our ankles but we do have an exciting roadmap beyond that, more cross over with UK outline to help keep prices moderate (coaches, wagons, and more) and more new tool powered stuff too. As I said, it's not a time for negativity, but rather onwards and upwards with renewed vigour and purpose
  23. Yes they are €130 for three, which if you buy any combo of 5 packs, is €110, which is €36 a wagon, and you (could have) split over a year, interest free, at just €3 a month a wagon. Comparing with, say, an accurascale HTO/HTV which is €118 for three, or €39 each, before discounts, you're actually still getting a hifi 'niche' outline model for less than the going rate of 'mass market' UK outline. When launched, and heavily subsidised, they were €30 per wagon. (also not the same wagon as now are on sale) You can now buy one for €36 per wagon, I make that 20% overall and still south of 'main range' UK prices.
