    Had a great, if hectic, visit today with my two little lads. Was disappointed to miss Saturday, but made up for it today. The lads loved the Lego, and really enjoyed the chat from the operators. The layouts, trade and general buzz was great! Manfully resisted the gorgeous looking selection of irish bits on Chris/Daves stand!

    I have a lump of 2x2 in a jar of white spirits It's the perfect size to run over the rail tops works great

    One thing I would say is that it was very fast and very easy to use. Shake the pen, take off the lid, run it down the rail sides (the application is designed to slot easily in) and you're done. Very clean, no fuss and good coverage (comes with a spare tip too). I think with a good wash over of dilute track dirt and then an attack of the airbrush it should look ok.

    Will see how it looks when dry, also painted and installed some knightwing point level base thingies

    Small update - did some ballasting, and painted the railsides of the perway sidings with the Woodlands Scenics 'steel rail' pen (still wet mind you)
