As that well known eejit used to say "slow and steady wins the race"
-
Any news on this?
-
This is very interesting. So to summaries anyone modeling the 40s-50s-60s(me!) should have cattle banks/platforms in a station?
-
Don't worry Ed, the feeling is mutual..
-
Sure now? 'cos I thought they were black but, when I looked closely, they turned out to be a very very very very very very very very very very very dark blue.
Don't go there man! Battleships, fencing and tea end up getting involved!
-
Dead skinny dexters and Kerry cows would be the right cattle for that era. Take it from a culchie;)
-
Looking good. Is that john Wayne helping you there? Happy thanksgiving,pilgrims...
-
UTA or GNR livery, tyeres lining involved!
No hiding away with all all over grey for a GNR 4.4.0!
:-)
Of course you could model the GNR of the late 1920s,locos with no nameplates on any locos and a nice plain black livery. Glover really was the "ornate" type wasn't he!
-
Could you post up a pic of the platforms?
-
I'll try that,thanks

Dave of modelrailbaseboards.com is your man. I'm sure he will be around shortly

Down with this sort of thing!
Careful now..
-
Still, at least the DVTs never killed Jeremy clarkson 3 times
-
Looking at RM it certainly seems like Whitemetal is how they do it.
I'd still like one, and could always to a little etch/pack to enable extra detailing if required
Sounds good to me!

Bring back the 141s!( throws barrel at 2700 class)
-
Very nice. The layout is really coming together.
-
I'm pretty sure it's brass and white metal Des. I might buy one, but I will have to declare bankruptcy with the amount of things I'm buying up, Ballast wagons, 121s, the list goes on and on..
-
John, when you go to post there is three options(pick a card) (A) Post quick reply (B) Go advanced and © cancel. Click on go advanced. This allows you to see what your post would look like before you post it. Very handy if your trying to make sure you get those pints.. I mean pics, the right way up.
-
John you got the majority the right way up, so 3 pints it will have to be. The second posts images aren't working at all though
-
I think many of the trams are going to transport museums...the horses are going to good homes too
-
That looks amazing:) what sort of locos have you got there. I see woolies, but I saw an 0-6-0 and maybe even a 4-4-0. I will follow this layout with interest..
