  1. Ah. The good old days. Hence my caption on this pic - https://picasaweb.google.com/105618325540295927305/Ballybrophy#5223000353684013954
  2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yFU774q6eVM..?
  3. Ah, well, it's working here now, so never mind...
  4. Mmm, it's back with one from an hour ago - but there's nothing showing at all in the past..
  5. My twitter feed has stopped showing posts from IRM, although I'm still 'following' - is it just me..?
  6. And mine - http://www.youtube.com/user/Gramaisc - a few layout things, two at Ballybrophy and other unrelated stuff..
  7. Mmm, I wonder if Joe's planning another go..?
  8. I watched this all the way through live yesterday. Always been impressed by Joe Kittinger and it was good to see him so involved in the effort to break his own 52 year-old record - and nice that his record for the longest free-fall time still seems to be standing, too.
  9. It seems to be a popular livery variation - http://irishrailwaymodeller.com/showthread.php/930-Class-071-amp-201-Calendar-for-2013?
  10. Announcement times..?
  11. Don't. That's the whole point of the place.
  12. Truly superb! The announcement track really adds to the atmosphere.
  13. I have found that, when using a Dremel to cut the track, it's best to have the tool over the track that you want to use, rather than over the bit that you're cutting off. The cutting disc is usually smaller than the diameter of the tool body, resulting in a slight, off-vertical, angle to the cut. If the joining piece also has this slope, the other way, then there is an inevitable gap at the top of the rail, even though the bottom edges of the rails are butted up hard.
  14. We're still in the first half of Autumn by any definition.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autumn
  15. Fair enough..
  16. I normally check what's been happening by clicking 'Quick Links' and then 'Today's Posts' - I've puzzled for a long time about why some are shown in red and some are blue - I've done my best to try to work it out myself, but have now decided to give up and ask. Anybody know the answer..?
  17. Available from Antics - http://www.anticsonline.co.uk/2151_1_16598.html And available direct through eBay - http://proses.com/modelrailforum/items.html
  18. The big clear-out has revealed a receipt showing that I actually got them from Axminster - http://www.axminster.co.uk/axminster-axminster-detail-sanding-pen-kit-prod21968/ - although they seem to have gone up a bit since.. The new Garryson blocks also came from there - http://www.axminster.co.uk/page/find/?name=garryson&page=1
  19. All is revealed - http://irishrailwaymodeller.com/showthread.php/55-What-do-the-user-titles-mean?
  20. Those videos are of the scrapyard at Barry, near Cardiff - Vic Berry's scrapyard was in Leicester - Vic's "stack"....
  21. A lot of people were sucked into the Olympics periphery with promises of easy riches.. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-19615815 http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-dorset-19045825 http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-19078847 Let's hope the damage isn't too great.
  22. The Olympic venture seems not to have been a runaway success - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-19710155
  23. No, but I've been through a good few - there's a comment on Flickr that it's between the two railway lines, but that might not even be true, of course... I thought that the white roof across the drive would give it away fairly easily - assuming that it was there when the aerial pictures were taken, of course..
  24. I do have a feeling that he might be sleeping in it... It's in Wellington in Shropshire, but I can't find it on Google Earth.
