are you sure?  I saw at least 8 videos where 201 were with IWT in 2022

hello everyone, can someone tell me how often 201 with freight trains?  And is it possible now to see 201 216 not in the depot, but in motion, with a freight or passenger train?

A 201 class locomotive is normally allocated to work the IWT liner train when one is spare,

Currently there is a 201 class locomotive (220) in Ballina freight yard and it is due to return to Dublin tomorrow Monday 13/06/22 working a freight train,10:05 from Ballina.

As regards 216-the locomotive is expected to be allocated to work Mk4 trains from Monday 13/06 to and from Dublin Heuston.

Locomotive 201 is stored at Inchicore works and is unable to work any type of train at this time.

They don't carry out any regular timetabled duties at all, nor have they done so for many years. Best option is to find out what PW work that NIR have planned, as they will be used on things like ballast trains.
