Hello, What is the best class 20 chassis to use under the Shapeways Sulzer with the lease amount of modifications for it to fit, Lima, Bachmann, Hornby or something else?

While I can't answer you regarding the best fit, the Bachmann will be the best runner. The Lima and the Hornby are the same chassis, but the Hornby will have a smoother running motor and should be DCC ready.

having the shapeways sulzer body myself, i used the bachmann class 20 chassis. near perfect fit , just have sand down the corners of the chassis to match the curve of the body shell. the body will sit on the existing battery box/feel tanks perfectly. smashing runner aswell! hope this helps.

there is a lot of sanding to do to get the finish right, sometimes you sand too hard and you remove some of the detail...gently does it!

The Shapeways Sulzer still looks like a car crash compared to Hiddenagenda's Sulzer model. Just as well you got one of Gareth's models Seamus
