jhb171achill Posted April 25, 2023 Posted April 25, 2023 How do you mean?............. explain? Quote
DoctorPan Posted April 25, 2023 Posted April 25, 2023 I'm guessing they're refering to the red of the NIR logo and what RAL number or equalivant it would be. 1 3 Quote

Westcorkrailway Posted April 25, 2023 Posted April 25, 2023 I would say it’s probobly best to just eyeball it? It looks small so it shouldn’t make too much of a difference Quote
jhb171achill Posted April 25, 2023 Posted April 25, 2023 Ah! Got ya. I can’t answer as per the actual code, but it looks as if a standard buffer beam red would do. 1 Quote

Mayner Posted February 1 Posted February 1 Bit difficult to imagine N I Railways a UK state funded body selecting German RAL (Reichs-Ausschuß für Lieferbedingungen und Gütesicherung) rather than BS (British Standard) colours for its corporate colour scheme. The CIE corporate colour scheme of the 1960s was developed by a Swedish firm of consultants hence the use of a RAL code rather than a BS No for the orange/tan. Might be worth contacting Translink or the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum for a definitive answer. 1 Quote
jhb171achill Posted February 2 Posted February 2 On the basis of the above, I'd say closest to 3003. Nos. 3000-2 are defini8tely too light, and 05 is too dark. The rest are irrelevantly different. Quote
irishrailways52 Posted February 2 Posted February 2 checking the image on paint 3D gives me this Quote
