I withdraw my previous comment about the roads, they look shtunnin in that light. Love it, really inspiring. Hopefully I can get my layout (if it’s ever bloody finished) to look half that good!

Edit: do you know whether it’ll be at SDMRC? I’ll be headed up for that and I’d love to see the layout in person.

Thanks very much, looking at doing the Dublin show but I have the Dublin marathon that weekend as well so it could be messy, Ill keep ye posted!

Though the layout won't make it to SDMRC, work continues! A mate of mine 3d printed me a few crates as well as barrels and palates to fill out the station, so a few more updates to come now.

Hello all, been a while since I've posted here, mostly because not much has changed on the layout and I hadn't the time to give many updates, be it because of life, travelling, work or college! Either way I thought I might as well post some new pictures and ask some questions.

First of all, was gutted to hear of the passing of Paddy Murphy. Though I never properly met the man in person, the quality of his models were second to none and the Irish Model Railway scene wouldn't be what is is today without him.

Secondly, at the last Dublin exhibition in October I bought a Ratio Models kit of an LNWR corridor coach and painted it up to be an old CIE coach. Does anyone know who would be selling more of these? Would love to get a proper rake of 3 or 4 going, and I think the finished kits are convincing enough and they can easily get away with being a GSWR one-off or the like.

I also recently got this Oxford tank wagon with the intention of turning it into an "Irish Shell" wagon, anyone know where I can get decals?

Last point I wanted to make is that I have a Vinted, now I doubt anyone on this forum will have much interest in what I have to sell as it's mostly my old British stock (and clothes),but it cant hurt to get the word out!

Either way, that's all from me, really looking forward to the Park Royals, I have a pair pre ordered for myself and I'm checking the news tab regularly for updates! Hope all is well on yer end,

All the best,

Adam

Very nice!

The Ratio coach kits are now part of the Parkside / Peco range and are still readily available, though you will probably need to get from a GB supplier. As well as the LNWR ones they do some Midland and GWR coach kits.

I think SSM do the Irish Shell decals - that Oxford Rail tank wagon looks spot-on.
