DJ Dangerous Posted Monday at 10:26 Posted Monday at 10:26 (edited) No, not blind dates with the eye coverings removed, but transparent tension-lock couplings: https://www.accurascale.com/en-eu/blogs/news/saddle-up-austerity-decorated-samples-arrive @Mol_PMB mentioned these in another thread but they deserve their own thread. My first reaction was "Why not make the whole coupling transparent?" but then I thought that it may look rather odd with stock rolling along individually, apparently unconnected. Plus, it's possible that for moving stock, the dark hooks and transparent loops will actually look like some king of taught coupling between stock. I wonder if they'll be made available individually as accessories? 11 hours ago, Mol_PMB said: New Accurascale Invisilock: 3 hours ago, David Holman said: Hmm... not sure to be honest. Might just need a bit of getting used to. Wonder what a whole train of these will look like alongside the black ones? Rather emphasises how big a tension lock is compared to three/screw links. If only the world had standardised on the buckeye! Life would be a lot simpler as we'd all be using Kadees. 1 hour ago, Horsetan said: For coaching stock, yes. For freight, it might be a bit different. The Accurascale semi-transparent couplings could have gone further, and been made fully-transparent. Maybe something could also have been done to reduce the massive gap between coupled vehicles. Edited Monday at 10:28 by DJ Dangerous 5 Quote
