David Holman Posted August 13 Posted August 13 Just watching a recoding of yesterday's Repair Shop (BBC1, it will be in IPlayer). It features the station master's lamp from Donamana on the Donegal line to Derry. The station master was in fact a lady and it is her daughter who has brought it in for repair. 3 Quote

airfixfan Posted Friday at 09:49 Posted Friday at 09:49 Not what the experts said. Con tributed photos film footage and info about Donemana for the BBC None of it was used! Quote
Broithe Posted Friday at 10:35 Posted Friday at 10:35 I learned a long time ago that, unless there is a very clear reason to believe otherwise, then, when dealing with media people, journalists, presenters, etc., the end result will usually have little of reality involved in it. They generally only care about the 'look' and filling the time/space that they need to, in a way that will entertain people with little real interest in the subject anyway. That basic rule is even stronger today than it ever was. It's a bit like discussing conspiracy theories, etc - just not worth the bother most of the time. 2 Quote
airfixfan Posted Friday at 10:46 Posted Friday at 10:46 Even had film footage of the lady's mother the programme was about! 1 Quote
