skinner75 Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Another bridge strike, in Cork this time: http://www.broadsheet.ie/2013/07/03/meanwhile-in-cork-33/?fb_source=pubv1 Quote
Tarabuses Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Unbelievable, although it managed to miss the height restriction sign itself! I'd say the driver was quite shocked after that impact - enough to keep him awake in future? Quote
heirflick Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 an artic driver stoped short of the railway bridge at the station in portlaoise, realised he couldnt take a right at the heritage hotel as its one way, and he couldnt reverse as the traffic wouldnt permit it. i was amazed when he fiddled the cab and the rear tractor suspension dropped. then he did the same to the trailer, and off he went - never knew truck suspensions could be altered for height! ... another learning day! Weshty Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 That tractor unit looks well twisted. A write-off? Quote

Yes, air suspension. It's very easy to alter the height, but not by a huge amount. Certainly not enough for the guy in Cork! Quote
