Sulzer201 Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Great looking machine Georgeconna, Isn't that the American aircraft that was nicknamed 'Tankbuster'? I think it was used to deadly effect against ground targets in the first gulf war? Great stuff there she must be a joy to fly. Quote
Weshty Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 How about this for a large model. Eight jet engines. €50k worth of model that went up in smoke when it banked too sharply causing sheer and lack of lift. Quote

Weshty Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Rather like the Fairchild crash - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1994_Fairchild_Air_Force_Base_B-52_crash . Very weird. The model 52 crashed as the result of a similiar maneuver.....mad! Quote

Georgeconna Posted December 11, 2013 Author Posted December 11, 2013 There Vs on that Fairchild crash: The Pilot was known to be reckless according to the Crash report. Same a the C-17 crash That 50K would be a bit of a downer after all that work..Looks lovely too Seem the how similar they were on the Vid here G Quote
Broithe Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 They 'lost' a real A-10 for a while back in the '90s - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Craig_D._Button - never fully explained. The A-10 design team were required to read Hans-Ulrich Rudel's Stuka Pilot autobiography. Well worth a read, it is, too... Quote
