Kirley Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 How optimistic the thinking was about seven years ago. Some great shots of container traffic.
josefstadt Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 Interesting piece and indeed excellent shots of liner trains in action. Notice though, nobody from Irish Rail interviewed - it was during the Dick Fearn 'Railcars good, Railfreight bad' era.
Eiretrains Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 I think this was filmed just a few years ago and since that time the IWT workings have increased, and the DFDS and timber flows have continued, I suspect freight may increase further in the next few years, so not a bleak outlook compared to 10 years ago when everything was falling by the wayside.
burnthebox Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 Yes, K, let's hear it for the Railways, thanks for posting
DiveController Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 What a shame, the money to invest during the Celtic Tiger and no insight for the (now, missed) opportunity:mad:
