Retro Herbie
Was working on a railway build for a customer in Kingscourt today so took the chance to photograph the station this evening before heading for home. The station building work looks to be little different from eiretrains photos from a few years back. It appears some half hearted FAS scheme, looks like a brick hasn't been laid for many years. Anyone local know what the long term plan for the building is? Edited July 3, 2012 by Retro Herbie
Retro Herbie
Was tempted to lay some ballast while I was there but would have taken about 10,000 bags so decided to give it a miss.

Nothing in the Planning File, and google street view avoids it somehow, though it appears it's been in this state of "readiness" for at least 2 1/2 years. Nice photos btw. Kirley
Thanks for the photos Gareth although it is depressing to see this heritage disappearing. Love the subtle placing of your van in the composition of the last photo, nice touch.
