Kirley Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 I have noticed recently that if I do not use the site page for a matter of minutes I am automatically logged off and it is getting a bit tiresome to have to log back on again and again. Is this the same for everyone or do I have to adjust my setting to delay the automatic logging off for a longer period?
David Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 Tick the 'stay logged in' box when logging in. It wont time out at all then.
Kirley Posted August 3, 2012 Author Posted August 3, 2012 Tick the 'stay logged in' box when logging in. It wont time out at all then. I can't find a "stay logged in" box only a "remember me" box when I log in. Can you help please?
BosKonay Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 If you log out, in the top right, there is a box for Login / Username / Password and a check box for 'remember me'?
Kirley Posted August 3, 2012 Author Posted August 3, 2012 If you log out, in the top right, there is a box for Login / Username / Password and a check box for 'remember me'? Stephen, yes I see the above but not the "stay logged in" box that David mentioned. Is it the "remember me" box that you tick to stop the time out?
BosKonay Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 Yep, remember me should work, I think if you don't click it, the forum assumes you are on a public computer (like a web cafe, etc) and times you out for security
Kirley Posted August 3, 2012 Author Posted August 3, 2012 Thanks Stephen, I always thought that box was just for remembering your details.
David Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Oops! I meant 'remember me'. I can't find a "stay logged in" box only a "remember me" box when I log in. Can you help please?
heirflick Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 the logging off keeps happening to me now..just noticed when i was uploading pics of the show from today. i always press remember me but it happens anyway.....any tips?
BosKonay Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 Try sites 'main' domain is http://irishrailwaymodeller.com Your browser may think http://www.... is a different site and try to log you out?
heirflick Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 nope...tried that, no different. could it be an automatic update instaled on the computer that causes the problem?
Broithe Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 I don't think that I've ever been logged out except by myself or by a failed shut-down/power cut. Not much help, maybe - but it does mean that you should be able to stay in..
