Any idea what loco it is?

Plan looks great Dave! Can't wait to see it coming along!
-
I'll make it my New Years resolution to work on the layout more!
-
Thanks lads! It's annoying when I look back at last year and nothing is really done. No Dave, I haven't got the crane yet, I hope to soon though
-
Happy Christmas guys! Unfortunately very little has happened on the layout since I posted last, but santy was generous to me, with three model shop pocket wagons and two mk2s,5210 and 5217, arriving under the tree! Here's some poor pics and a video anyway!

Absolutely stunning Anto! These just get better and better!
-
177 looks unbelievable Anto! Can anyone else not see 230 and 087 though?

I'm not sure if it's the last series, the writer has said he's halfway through the sixth but it's just a question of rte giving him permission! But I dunno, many too many key characters have been killed to continue...

Who watched it? Pretty gruesome ending allright! I wonder is there any chance of nidge surviving? And did north wall yard make a wee appearance in the capturing Fran scene?!

Belmond Hibernian - Luxury Touring Train
201bhoy replied to Broithe's topic in What's happening on the network?
Will they not be travelling overnight? If the longest possible tour is 6 days and Emerald Isle Explorer took 8 days, I assumed they would be making use of night time journeys to free up the passengers' days... -

Where did you hear that Anto? Would it be operating to Dublin? -
Oh, sorry, don't know how I didn't see that!

Looks like the Emerald Isle explorer may have competition! http://www.independent.ie/life/travel/travel-news/ireland-to-get-its-own-orient-express-30725822.html

MK3's to the West Clare Railway
201bhoy replied to thewanderer's topic in Photos & Videos of the Prototype
Nope definitely not you. The only reason people still post a lot on this website is because they're trying to recreate the past... tbh I can't see anyone who is a child now looking back with rose tinted memories on the 22000s or the other railcars about. Thank god we still have at least some freight flows! -

Great pics! Interesting to see those wagons earmarked for the biomass trains, any idea of when the flow will commence? -
Don't forget some pockets and 42 flats to put your containers on Sounds like an incredible layout!

I'd say woodland scenic grey blend that's been weathered is a good bet!

Great stuff!!

Hi lads, what's the best way of cleaning track? I've been running 220 and 177, and they aren't running that well, especially 177. I think it's probably because of dirty track, as I haven't used the layout in a while. I was thinking of getting one of those track cleaning wagons, but I've heard they're only really good for maintain clean track rather than actually cleaning dirty track. Any basic suggestions that don't involve me having to buy anything would be especially welcome!

That's the 7200 class, they're actually not that old, maybe about 30 years old or a bit more. There are a few other pics of them in the photos as well, but that one probably looks old because it's in the "fantome" silver livery and is quite dirty!

Went to carcassone on night train from paris gare d'austerlitz last night via Toulouse. Unfortunately the photos are poor quality as it was dark, and my phone went out of battery so I wasn't able to photograph the train being separated at brive! Went into carcassone town today and found it to be pretty depressing, medieval part a complete tourist trap and new town completely lifeless. Carcassone station is quite interesting though, not much on the passenger front but lots of freight trains going through! Hope you enjoy.

I prefer this one!
