Thanks everyone for the support! Glad we took the factory up on their kind offer of a small run and slot being available.
Of course if you're looking for flat donors now there are our spoils and weedspray packs available which can be adapted of course.
We will have a new announcement in a couple of weeks, so brace yourselves!
Cheers!
Fran
well we are expecting the announcement on the next run of ballasts hopefully not another extra surprise as its getting to close to christmas now and the tree needs a little bit of room for the kids presents

just a general note
i know the irm a class a1 will have a cert with it and a few other locos i have do have certs but just wondering when did certs stop as they were always handy knowing the issue number ie 1 of 504

must say the project 42 has been perfect it has given us so many different types of freight train .dont think any manufacturer has ever done a series like this for any railway. i look forward to seeing what treasures irm gives us next year and really hope they do finally look at passenger stock and dmus emus and steam locos soon as its their only areas not delved into yet

That's why we used stick-on stripe on the real 1508, as @mphoey will attest!
and 1508 is the only rpsi volunteer painted craven

I have known paddy pre railway days from my ambulance days and he was always a gentleman . I will always support his ventures and he has helped the RPSI so much in not only creating B134 as a model but also B141 and the Whitehead mark 2 set and the Dublin craven set all of which have raised vital funds for the RPSI. He also helped the society secure B141 herself.

Never been used, only opened box to check contents. Happily swap for a 'clean' Murphy Models IÉ livery 141 or 181... doesn't have to be new or boxed once decent.
Can be at different parts of the country with work so could swap and collect.
niall check with wrenneire

I think they look quite good, better than some of the American outline diesels which is high praise indeed. If they are that bothersome modellers can always replace them with brass wire.
they look good on the models dont think painted wire would have worked
i see that irm has now sold out of 5 of their 121s with the greys gone already paddy will definatly be happy

Do any 1950's Laminate coaches exist in good condition today, for survey purposes?
1463 is still around with the RPSI

Are the hand rails along the side of the bonnet self coloured plastic?
yes the horizontal ones definatly are and are very flexible the uprights appear more solid but the small front ones can be bent too easily and damaged

So I didnt get the job?
did you apply
Welcome Paul to a great hardworking team . I would say your experience will be more to the UK side of the business but I am certain the lads will acclimatize you to both the Irish and northern Irish railway systems

So that summarises quite concisely what modellers could realistically hope for, while at the same time a manufacturer could aim to launch two different coach models in two different liveries without having too much cash tied up for too long?
plus with the way previous coaches have sold if they release the right ones they will sell but i still think the first one who does a van is a winner

A 1:76 scale AN-124 so we can model 201 being delivered.
wouldnt fit on most layouts
maybe as a back scene for a layout
if the clue is big things maybe its the 3 irish queens the 800 class nothing bigger than them

A glimpse into the world of GREY 121s:
All of the following courtesy of P. Dillon collection, except the last few from a book.....:
Note the very first Cravens - 1963, almost two years after the 121s were new, had a "2" on their doors - all of 'em.
Also in later years of the green livery, most repaints had no "flying snails" on them.
The grain van, now in CIE grey, has an "N" after the number, indicating that it is a former Great Northern one.
Note new tin vans, and as mentioned before, complete realism absolutely requires these things - and (by now) absolutely neglected-looking steam engines. Who will be brave enough to weather a Bachmann "Woolwich" like the loco seen below?
And, just as the rule for strict authenticity is "no black chassis", it is also (pre-1970), "no brown wagons"!
wonder john should we put 2s on the current craven livery except for the one first class one
Decorated IRM A Classes Arrive!

Great announcement with a great lot of explaining. it goes to show that making something is not just a simple send of a design and sign it off. It involves a lot of scrutiny before the final signing off. IRM has to be applauded for having all the different changes across 17 locos not a simple feet indeed and it will show next year when they arrive. Im lucky in that mine are all paid up so its one less stress for me and I dont mind the long wait as i know they will be worth it and will sell out quickly after release.looking forward to the C class announcement next
