  1. Large selection of Oxford Diecast/Atlas Editions 1/76 OO Scale models for sale. All are mint as new and have not been removed from boxes. Stobart artics €20, Livestock truck €10, Recovery trucks €12, Fire trucks €8, other models €4-€8 depending on model. Discounts on multiple purchases.
  2. Have an MM0078 071 Class with small IE logo for swap/sale. It is in as new condition and has not been run, having only been taken from box to examine. Discovered after I had already bought it that old style marker lights were changed to newer style on this loco in April 2000, so makes it outside my modelling period. Will swap for black/silver MM0071 or MM0082 in mint as new condition or sell for €130 plus postage. Would prefer a swap rather than selling but open to offers. Thanks.
  3. Thanks Rich. It's a cracking model, but have to say am disappointed with the black catcher panels as they totally detract from an otherwise excellent model.
  4. Anyone know why 078 in IE small logo livery was released with the ex-snatcher panels on the side of the cabs in black rather than orange, where as even 080 in the older IR livery has the ex-snatcher panels painted in orange? I presumed all along that this was a pre-production issue that would have been modified for the production version. Did 078 ever run with these panels painted black?
  5. Thanks Dave. There's a few similar UK based pages on Facebook, but Irish sellers are at a disadvantage when selling on those sites, as the postage costs to UK normally make it uncompetitive, so was thinking why not set up an Irish based Facebook page. Feel free to stick railway items up there Dave. Bit more free exposure for selling never hurts.

  8. Just want to make you aware of a new Facebook page that I set up called Model Scene Ireland Buy, Sell & Trade. There is no Facebook page similar to this at present (that I am aware of), that is geared towards Irish modellers. Might make it a bit easier to buy, sell or trade models, without having to fork out high fees on various auction sites. Feel free to join. Thanks.

  13. Des, Any idea on when your ammonia kits will make an appearance?
  14. When were Cravens used and when did they finished being used on the Rosslare line? When was the Mk3 push pulls used and when did they finished being used on the Rosslare Line ? Just looking for rough dates on the above. Any info greatly appreciated.
  15. Paddy said that to me too. Looks like it's the two freight 071's and 112 to be released in October. Paddy said the factory decided that and he had no control over it as it made sense to do the two locos with the same colour together.

  17. David, PM sent re deposit. Thanks.
  18. Are these models still available to buy? Also, what is the cost per model?
  19. Wow. 112 even has the IE coloured replacement driver cab windows on it and the IE coloured LED lights. In a word.....awesome.
  20. Thanks for the replies. As my interest lies mainly in railfreight, I plan on building my own wagons through a combination of 3D printing techniques, resin castings and photoetched metal. I wish Murphy Models would consider modern freight wagons as part of their range, but would imagine that it will be a number of years before they might consider doing them. I am aware others on this site are considering releasing freight models and I look forward to see what they have to offer. I have purchased Railtec transfers previously and can testify that their transfer printing is extremely crisp and would have no hesitation using them again. I am delighted, therefore, to see that they are expanding their Irish range and I wish Steve the best of luck with this venture. Still have no joy on the paint codes for the cement wagons......any takers?
  21. Hi, Does anyone have the RAL codes for the Irish Cement ivory and blue colours as used on the various cement wagons over the years? Would also be interested in purchasing any Irish Cement tins of ivory/blue paint or old MIR Irish Cement decals if anyone has spares going a begging. Thanks.
  22. Thanks Rich on both counts. Appreciate it.
  23. Hi Rich, Don't suppose you have any detailed shots of the underframe area and the skeletal frame of the bogie flat? Thanks for posting all the pics so far. Very useful reference.
