  1. Well I'm not going to say much on these as I'm usually shot at point blank range. So let's be brief. I would have bought at least 6 of them, had they been correct but I'm only getting two, those being 174 and 191. Had IRM of done these, I have pre-oreded the lot, as they would have been perfect, but silly errors and double the price for very little mmodifications, no thanks. The 1st batch of 141/181s were little gems when released. I still run them today with great pleasure. I am very grateful to MM for the time and effort put into the Irish Model Rail scene, and without him we wouldn't be where we are today. Thanks.
  2. Brian Collins has 3x 121 sound decoders in stock, when i did a google search. Its the EMD 567 type. These were also fitted to 141s, but you would need to source a speaker if you are fitting to the older batch of 141s. The new ones due in the next few weeks should have speaker pre-fitted if you wait a couple of weeks.
  3. More Ordered. Dunno where I'm gonna hide them all. Looking forward to getting mine. The postman sure is going to be busy.
  4. Hi Leslie, I am not "whinging" as you call it. If people are forking out €60 per coach and €200 Per Locomotive and the errors are so obvious, and they were clearly pointed out to the maker before production began then I'm allowed point this out and have an opinion. When IRM got their 1st batch of Tara wagons, they were refused, due to a small error (i wouldnt have noticed, nor would many people to be honest) but another run of their wagons was produced before being released for sale. I pointed out 2 small errors on their A class locomotives, and these were adjusted and fixed before the locos were produced. The livery errors on the mk2s are inexcusable having being pointed out time and time again. So how can one model maker get it so right and another cannot. I know we never have had it so good, but we are paying top dollar, we would like them looking right, especially when there are plenty of photos to the actual models being produced. We had a UK Prime Minister, Harold MacMillan, who once said "You've never had it so good"! maybe you had the UK prime minister WE didn't.
  5. Also by the time that 186 and 189 wore the white stripe Ir and IE livery they definitely didn't the the vents under the headlights. Let's hope this is corrected unlike the mk2 galway gen van. Clear photos of both locos with no vents
  6. Error was pointed out numerous times but was ignored. Hoping MM listened about the vents on the 141s.
  7. Its a shame the livery error has not been corrected on Galway Generator van. The black should be the whole length of the van just beyond the windows. I was about to buy one today but decided against it.
  8. Looking forward to more 141s, I hope they fix the errors on them, the 141s didn't have grills under the headlights. Nice livery.
  9. Boskonay, don't be saying things like that. You will be accused of knowing nothing about Model Railways and have your post deleted .
  10. Any decent 8 or 21 pin decoder will do. IRM and Murphy models recommended only using their decoders for warranty guarantees, but its over 12 months now since these locos were released. I use a mix of different decoders in my locos, and the only trouble I've had is with hornby 8 pin decoders. Lais dcc decoders are great value for money. I've used more that 30 so far over the last 5-8 years and all still going fine. Hope this helps.
  11. At least Hattons give you a good box
  12. The 181s also had the full ladder on the body side as opposed to grab handle/ steps on 141s.
  13. I noticed that 174 still had the vents under the headlight. Only the 181s had these, so I hope this is corrected. The cab numbers on the IR and IE versions are still a little over scale. Otherwise they look stunning and I've them on my list.
  14. Up until IE fitted the LED twin marker lights, the 121/141/181 didn't have two red lights. That is why they had tail lamps when running light. A few of the 121s got the "bus" lights as I call them for push/pull. From memory 122/124/130/131 and 126 eventually.
  15. Modified Dundalk/dutch van for the mk2s. That would be logical.
  16. Try e-bay for a bachmann mk. You might get one cheap.
  17. When is the next announcement.
  18. Indubitably is an adverb that means “impossible to doubt.” It has a meaning similar to doubtless and undoubtedly, but it represents a much stronger degree of certainty
  19. Yes I do think they should be limited to 5 packs per customer, as there will be some buying them to stockpile and sell on at inflated prices.
  20. Something Old...A beet wagon. Something New....An 80 class Something borrowed....071 class. Something Blue....Steam No 85. And a Green RH bus.

    Maybe try some plaster tape.
  22. The standard 21 pin chips can be used 121, 141/181/071 classes. The sound fitted chips for the 121s can be used in 141/181 class but as far as I know, the 141s are not fitted with speakers so a speaker will also have to be wired to the sound decoder for use in 141/181.
  23. Giving the Tara a run this evening. 20220525_212755.mp4
  24. Cheers. I have it listed separately in contents. When I was calling around for a renewal I found it difficult to find a company that was will to except it on the policy separately.
