Hi Westport. Looks good, but you have a reverse loop with the track going across the centre of the layout. You will need an auto reverse loop module or you will get a short as a loco travels through it. Are you going DC or DCC?

It doesn't matter if it's flex track or set track, you will get smooth running either way if the track is laid right. Its With American locos and rolling stock they are much bigger than European trains even though they are HO. Here is a pic showing the size of my challenger compared to a 141 with a craven.

Hi Sean, is that 22" radius? 22" is 559mm the closest in the Hornby range is radius 4 which is 572mm. Typically large American steam locos won't run on anything smaller than radius 4 in Hornby. I have a Challenger 4-6-6-4 with a big tender and that barely runs around radius 4.

Care to elaborate? The Li Po has taken the RC world by storm. Li Po batteries pack a huge amount of power for their size. Without them drones wouldn't have developed to where they are now. I have a 4000 lumen led torch using a 18650 Li Po battery capable of putting out 20 amps. The torch lasts for hours! No other battery can do that. The only drawback is they can be dangerous if not handled correctly.

Who said anything about batteries? The locos take the power from the track. There is another system out there that uses batteries in the locos and radio control. Li Po batteries are incredibly powerful and compact. Just look at what Eoin has done with the Faller truck conversion on his workbench thread.

This has to be seen in the flesh, the workmanship is incredible. I love the brackets for mounting the body so much better than the Silver Fox solution of glueing it on. The lighting is spot on and I love the lamp on the back. Finally a proper solution for the C class and A class.

The best way is to start with a small cheap quadcopter, the Syma X5C-1 is the best selling starter it also comes with a camera which is ok quality. They are very tough and I have crashed mine quite a few times. But at €50 versus my next one which is costing well over a grand they are worth it. There are a few groups on Facebook here's the links.
