  13. There are some good books on DCC , the beauty about DCC is the entire layout is powered without having to isolate sections. Fitting a DCC chip in each loco gives individual control all at the same time, you can also control points too. Try this website http://www.wiringfordcc.com/intro2dcc.htm

  18. Thats a great idea, I'm in the girlfriends house all Christmas and I miss my layout. I bought her son a train set and I built a simple baseboard, I keep hogging it!
  19. I have to agree, DCC needs good connections to work properly. Soldering each joint is the only way to go.
