  1. Especially when he's naturally a striker and and played there for Bohs fairly successfully. A mad day, but what a day. My old man is a city supporter and he was resigned to defeat with 20 minutes to go. City just didn't look like scoring, and losing Toure in the 1st half was a big blow. But typical City, they had a surprise up their sleeve. Great finish by Aguero, quality always shines through in the end and his touch and finish was superb. As a Liverpool fan I'm most delighted that the season is over. Still, at least we won something this year, unlike some Terrible season though, Champions League is where it's at, and if Liverpool want to but up a side again, they badly need to get back in it to attract better players etc. Sadly Kenny is not the man for that job. Anyway, roll on the Euros. We'll have to set up a thread to see if there's any interest in forming a IRM fantasy football league for next season. I finished an almost respectable 5th in the WNXX forum league this year.
  2. Hi and welcome to the site! You could stick a list up of what you want to sell on here, and a few pics. You might even get a few offers!
  3. Pffff, Scotsman is such a hussey of a preserved loco, always grabbing the limelight compared to other engines. There are much nicer A3's out there with more attractive names. Anyway, here's mine! Must do a support coach along with one for Tornado, both add something different when running modern stock. I might be a bit of a philistine but I like A3s most of all with GNR coalrail tender, BR green late crest and smoke deflectors, ala Galtee More Scotsman's corridor tender and GNR tender And another shot of City of Lancaster. They're really nice models, but I must replace the front bogie with a more realistic aftermarket product. The Hornby one looks pretty poor.
  4. Pond life strikes again. Folk who enjoy chariot races on the public highway have been linked with such thefts from numerous British preserved and mainline companies. Luckily they didn't have the copper out of the diesels, some locos in the UK have gone to scrapheap after such harvesting. Some others have tried to have the copper cabling off the overhead catenery too, often with 'shocking' consequences...
  5. Good to see you here Steven, looking forward to seeing more of your Marlkin collection!
  6. She does look very good in black. You've got to love Staniers, he came up with some beautiful designs. I have a maroon City of Lancaster myself, would fancy a black one too. Dutchess of Sutherland has recently been outshopped in early BR green... But not as nice as LMS black (or maroon for that matter.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5KWnXNycpHI
  7. That would be one hell of a facelift.
  8. Check out http://www.auscisionmodels.com.au/index.htm and http://eurekamodels.com.au/ I believe Seamus Graham was selling Eureka Garratts at one time, saw one in action, spectacular model.
  9. Sounds promising Dave, if you need any help let me know. Maybe the site could have a presence at it to spread the word!
  10. The plot thickens, cheers for letting me know Gareth.
  11. Just before, thankfully!
  12. Some poor pics taken of the wagons in Portarlington on Monday.
  13. I have no idea to be honest mate, I have little interest in the whole thing. Anthony does have a point when he talks about animal cruelty as well though, as you do too. Animal cruelty, complete disregard for road safety and the safety of themselves and others, failure to stop. Punishments need to be far greater for such carry on.
  14. Is that home made or was it commercially available?
  15. Didn't realise you did parts Seamus, how much you charging?
  16. Two asses on carts more like. I don't understand why they don't organise it better and apply to have a section of road closed off so they can run their races even. But then, that's pondlife for you.
  17. Looks like they'll be making the money up in prices, €169.99 for a Hornby 31? No chance. They should get in some Bachmann and Murphy stuff if they want to compete with the big retailers here and in the UK. Best of luck to them all the same, it's a tough time to be running a business out there.
  18. Pffff, 6 minutes 40 seconds and not one train in sight.
  19. after seeing the sulzer the other night , there is no dought in my mind that i will always model irish.....although i cant get the class 59 in the stobart livery out of my head!! grand to have had the chat with you and bren. till next time, Auf Wiedersehen You're just lucky I didn't bring Miss Katy with me, otherwise your mind would've changed!
  20. First of the ACe's has been released, Savannah and Atlanta http://www.railpictures.net/photo/397325/
  21. Cheers Northman, I did try them last week and they were all out, so I need to look elsewhere!
  22. Hi guys, Bit of a long shot this - I'm on the look out for 2 Bachmann Class 20 chassis units. Must be intact, unmolested and fully working. Boxed or unboxed. If you have one or two that you wish to part with drop me a private message. Cheers!
  23. I see. Cheers John!
  24. I'm pretty sure you're correct, it's how I remember them anyway. It used to bother me as a youngster that it wasn't a full AOA, but then I was quite a sad child!
  25. Thanks for the offer Seamus, but tieing up and gagging other men is not how I get my kicks!
