IRM is 5! Check out our 10 for 5 Sale This Weekend Only!
Warbonnet replied to Warbonnet's topic in General Chat
Thanks everyone! Been a great response to the sale too. Much appreciated and enjoy the bargains! -
Hi everyone, Today (October 16th) is a bit of a landmark day for IRM as it is 5 years since we broke cover publicly for the first time! From a chat online, to a few pints in a pub to something which has well, gotten way out of hand, we have come a long way in a short period of time. There has been some great moments along the way, and some set backs too (typhoons, our social event thwarted by snow!) but we are delighted to be here and to have you with us along the way too. Without your support and purchases, there would be no IRM after all! A couple of weeks after we announced ourselves to the world on this very forum, our good friends at South Dublin Model Railway Club gave us some space at the last minute at their Blackrock Hallowe'en show. We will be forever grateful to all the model railway clubs in the land who have supported and hosted us over the years at shows and clubrooms. To show our appreciation to you all for your support, we are doing a very rare sale as a thank you for this weekend! We have reduced all our IRM in stock items on the website by 10%! Just simply add your weedspray, cement bubbles, plough vans or spoils to the basket and you will get 10% off at the check-out! This sale is open till lunchtime on Monday, or while stocks last! We would also like to hear of your IRM related stories or memories and see some pictures or videos of our models on your layout or in your collections in the comments below. Cheers once again for all your support and here's to more models in the future! Fran (on behalf of the IRM / Accurascale team!)

You should hear the amount of swearing I do in the outtakes Rich, as bad as Reservoir Dogs!

We certainly will!

Hi everyone, As you may have seen over the weekend, Hornby Magazine held a virtual exhibition in lieu of their October "Great Electric Train Show" exhibition. We were asked to provide a video update on our projects to date. Needless to say as it's the UK it was a tad Accurascale heavy, but we did offer a preview of the A Class GM sound chip which you can see below! Please note it was recorded on my phone, so it's not the best microphone around. I can confirm it sounds beastly in person though! We will be launching this shortly for pre-order and will do a better video when we can! Cheers! Fran

An absolute work of art. Well done Brendan and Eoin and congrats Sean on a museum quality loco in brass. Must be like Dave and nail together my own kit! True craft in this model by experienced people!

Sorry misread your post as manufacturer of the year.
-
-
feel free to give it to Accurascale instead!
-
Wow! That’s cool!
-
That's the transport Museum in Howth so has been saved!
-
All votes for your favourite Irish manufacturer (and IRM!) welcome, as well as Accurascale of course!

As already discussed here: Got this weeks lottery numbers too?
-
They are certainly the same bus, and got the yellow and blue current livery too.

Hi Wayside, Can you email us with your order numbers and we will look into it for you? If you paid for something and it came into stock, it would be sent out to you. We would recommend you ask Mark Models too, as he is unlikely to see this message on here. Thanks, Fran
-
I am sure we will in time Brendan, but we have not announced any yet and certainly not taking money up front for a second run of them, so I'm quite confused to be honest. Best to let him know and have him contact us direct to clear it all up instead of second hand information. Cheers! Fran

Hi Brendan, The keg liners have long been dispatched, so your friend really needs to contact us. Anyone can cancel and order and get a full refund at any time by emailing us with their order number, and we do make stock to have in hand when a model lands. It's up to you to run the risk of missing out on it or not, you can even email us and ask to hold off on payment and reserve in special circumstances, so we are quite flexible. Cheers! Fran

Hi everyone, Just some news from our Accurascale operations today that we thought we should share with you. Cheers! Fran Accurascale Welcomes Graham Hubbard on Board as Business Development Consultant We are delighted to announce the latest addition to our growing team; industry legend Graham Hubbard as Business Development Consultant. Mr. Hubbard was the long serving Managing Director of Bachmann Europe Ltd., with the company formed in 1989 and becoming one of the biggest names in the model railway scene under his stewardship throughout the 1990s and 2000s. During that time the Graham Farish and Lilliput brands came under Graham's brief too, forging ahead in the British N gauge and continental markets as well as OO gauge with the branchline range. Before his time as Bachmann MD, Mr. Hubbard ran the very successful Eastern Models, who served as importers and distributors of models such as the Bachmann US range for over 15 years. Graham stepped down from his role as Bachmann Europe Chief 2015 after 26 very successful years in the hot seat, and since then has concentrated on his railway perseveration work with the Heavy Traction Group, among others. However, he has been itching to get back into the model railway industry and is keen to help us progress as a business with his wisdom and industry experience. Speaking about his position with us, Mr. Hubbard outlined his excitement about his new role; “Accurascale entered the market a couple of years ago but have already made a tremendous splash with many excellent models already delivered and lots more exciting projects underway. I’m delighted to be joining the Accurascale team to assist them with their future development and giving them the benefit of my experience and background. I cannot wait to get started!” Commenting on Accurascale's latest team member, MD Stephen McCarron stated: "We are thrilled to have such a respected, well versed and knowledgeable colleague join our growing team. That Graham can support Accurascale is, we feel, a huge endorsement of our approach and plans!" Graham now joins Paul Isles, formerly of Hornby, and Gareth Bayer, previously of Rapido Trains Inc. in our team, all bringing a tremendous wealth of experience to guide us on our goal to becoming a significant industry player delivering accurate and high quality railway models at a reasonable price. We look forward to seeing the fruits of their work in the coming months and years and we are sure you will be too!
