WARNING! We are down to low stock levels for our gorgeous slate grey cement bubble wagons! Probably the most attractive livery the iconic bubbles ever carried, these are perfect rolling stock for early liveried 141s, 121s and our forthcoming A Classes in Crossley condition, in both block trains and mixed goods. Don't miss out on them, two different packs available!

It's what he's asking, so it doesnt make it worth that. It's only worth what someone would pay and I dont think anyone is mad enough to pay 200 sheets for that. But then again, fools and their money and all that.

Correct, our 40ft Bell and B&I containers were produced by C Rail (and very nice they are too). The 20ft CIE is one we did ourselves and we do plan to make these available separately in the future. The 20ft B&I above is an earlier pattern of ISO container. They do look attractive, but not aware of anyone who does them in OO. Cheers! Fran

@Garfieldand I will be there on the Accurascale/Irish Railway Models stand no 57 so do drop by for a look at the IRM fare and a chat!

If using an existing loco that is going to be scrapped anyway, then what’s the issue with using it?
-
How is it a waste of money if they are enjoyed? It’s not your money, so I really wouldn’t worry about it. Some of them even MAKE money. No history? I find that a bizarre statement in the least. It’s fantastic to see machines once lost with us again. I really can’t wait to see the new P2 and LMS diesel in particular roll out of the shops.

We hope to have a full update on that when the workers return after Chinese New Year!

Hi Noel, No, there is no way for this unfortunately. We have tried, hence this request not to mix orders. Thanks, Fran

Hi Everyone, Recently we have seen a spate of orders with a mixture of pre-orders and current stock together in one order. Can we please ask all customers NOT to do this in future? This creates untold confusion for our warehouse staff, and orders that are waiting on an item to come in for say 6 months before dispatch means you miss out on your other items for 6 months and it can get oversold on our website. If you are placing an order with us, please do it via the guidelines below: 1. All items currently in stock can be ordered together in one order, there is no problem there. 2. Do NOT order pre-order items and in stock items together (example, an A Class and bubbles) 3. Do NOT order two different models on pre order together (example, A and Guinness Kegs when they are opened for ordering) 4. If placing a pre-order, you can place multiple of one type together (such as a couple of A's) We have placed numerous advisories on the website about this, but they seem to be getting missed out. We really dont want someone missing out on a pre-ordered item as they get lost in the ether if mixed with other items. At the end of the day, we dont want you disappointed. Going forward we will be cancelling and refunding any mixed order that comes in. We hope the above is clear. If you have any questions please let us know. Cheers, Fran

Back on sale now! https://irishrailwaymodels.com/collections/cie-bogie-fertiliser-wagon

All stock, no more left of this run after this lot is gone!
-
Thanks everyone! Just to let you know that the remaining stock of Fertilisers goes on sale today at 5pm on our website. We are unable to take orders until then, so there is no point calling or emailing us. Sorry! Cheers! Fran

Ferts are distinctively tall, even taller than 201s. Our measurements check out against the drawings of the real thing and difference in height to locos. You can even see how much difference there is against the A in the previous page. Also remember that the highest point of an 071 is in the middle.

Correct!

Hi David, If you listed them here with a price I reckon you'd shift most of it very quickly and avoid the EBay fees along the way. Just a thought. We dont charge for listings and it's a big captive audience for you. Cheers, Fran
-
Hi Jim, Yes they did indeed, doors were removed, repaired, and put back on in a a bit of an adhoc manner. We are still blasting through pre-orders here, thank you for your patience. We will have the balance on sale later this week and will have news of when in the coming days. Cheers! Fran
-
Hi everyone, if we could move on now and leave this thread for the discussion of the models themselves when they arrive with you all next week it would be much appreciated. Once all the pre-orders are cleared early next week the remaining stock will go on sale which we will inform you about here and elsewhere (Facebook, email etc) Cheers! Fran

Hi everyone, Shipping the ferts from the UK is a sound business decision made by us for many reasons. As Stephen says, they ship to Ireland very quickly indeed with different options available. I’m not sure why it matters so much where they’re shipped from? What matters is the models themselves and that they arrive in excellent condition in quick time. Nothing more. cheers, Fran

Sadly not George! But you never know, they may tumble out of somewhere else one day!
-
Hi Shem, Yes, Tara's sold out in about 20 minutes. We really didnt have that many. Bubbles still in stock! Cheers! Fran
-
Hi everyone, The ferts have arrived and we are currently packing up all the pre-orders for dispatch. This will take us a few days due to the levels of pre-orders so please be patient. Once these are clear we will open up the order book for the remaining stock. Cheers! Fran

Hi everyone, We have done a bit of a stock clear up and managed to find some packs A-D Taras in very limited quantities. These are now on the website and available to buy, so if you missed out on Taras, here is your chance! https://irishrailwaymodels.com/collections/tara-mines All the bubbles are now back in stock too, the greys are beginning to run low, so if you fancy them, it's worth grabbing them soon! https://irishrailwaymodels.com/collections/cement-bubbles Cheers! Fran

No, I believe the Tommy Tighe who built the layout has since passed away.

Who would've thought executive luncheons were a big thing back then in Phibsborough!

Ferts on the Way! Our highly anticipated fertiliser wagons are almost here and will be dispatched from mid February. We managed to get these beauties out of China before their new year celebrations and look forward to their arrival. We recently took these production samples to South Dublin Model Railway Club and posed them on their 'Kildare' layout, where they look right at home! All current pre-orders will be fulfilled first, and once they are clear the limited remaining stock will be open to customers to buy. They wont hang around, so keep an eye on this thread, our website and subscribe to our newsletter at the bottom of our home page to make sure you are prepared! https://irishrailwaymodels.com/
