We will have some news at Bangor all going well, but since we have Liners, Ferts, Guinness Flats, Spoils, Weedspray, plough vans, the last of the Taras and the A's to come in the next year we dont want to overload you too much!
-
Hi everyone, We're delighted to announce that the ploughs are finally finished! They will leave China in about a weeks time and we should have them ahead of the Bangor show, all going well. We will keep you up to speed with further developments! Cheers, Fran

Hi everyone, Here is a look at the CIE plough. We got in a sample previously, but we were not happy with it in several areas, so we had to reject the sample and make tweaks. Thankfully this sample is much more like it. It caused part of the Plough delay, but we felt it best that we get it right. is will be a one off run, so don't miss out on them! https://irishrailwaymodels.com/collections/ballast-plough/products/cie-ir-ballast-plough-van-cie-era Cheers! Hi Mark, Check out our website for published pricing on releases so far. A classes are from €189.95 with the special edition A1 €220. The 42ft liner flats are €100 for a pack of two, with bundle deals available, and the rest of the 42 range will be more or less the same. https://irishrailwaymodels.com/ Cheers, Fran

Hi everyone, There is room to discuss all manufacturers, from ourselves, to Murphy Models, to Silver Fox to kit manufacturers such as JM Design and SSM etc. There is no limit to who can be discussed, once it is fair, balanced and respectful. We have had to pull members about this before, such as the delivery of the MM 121 as it was disrespectful and childish, and we really rather we didnt have to do that. For the most part those rules are respected, which is great, and a very much isolated incidents. In the same vein, peoples diverse interests should be respected too, so per way yellow, black and tan, diesel, steam etc should not be run down and slagged off. If you don't have an interest in it, or if it doesn't float your boat, fine. There is little point in telling the whole forum though. It serves little purpose. There are aspects of Irish railways and model railways that bore the arse off us all, me included, but I don't feel the need to repeat that ad nauseam as at the end of the day it makes someone look a bit silly. Stick to what floats your boat, not what sinks it, because that just comes across as moany and a bit tiresome. Finally, can we return this thread to it's original subject please? Cheers. Fran

Their Royal Scot and Patriot are nice. Not had a new coronation yet so dont know how good they are. Always liked the panniers and some of the bigger GWR tanks but all those 460s they made all looked exactly the same to me I have to say!

Spoil-er alert! One of the many parts of the colossal project 42 currently in tooling; the modern spoil train. Expect to see these in stock late this year, with liners, ferts and kegs ahead in the queue before that. Cheers! Fran

Hornby are still top dog by some way. I would recommend an A4 or Britannia if you want to see what they can do. They've come a long long way since the move to China. Cheers, Fran
-
Have to agree George; to say that Hornby are no longer relevant is utter nonsense. Their 60 is excellent, as is their 08 and I just got their new 87 and it's brilliant. They have had their problems as has been touched on in the documentary but they are still the biggest in the business when it comes to Brit outline (said through gritted teeth of course, but that's because we have our own horse in the race!) Cheers Fran

24/7/365. Going blind at this stage. Richie hasn't seen natural sunlight since October.... We do our best! Thanks for the order!
-
Never say never, but I dont think it will be next time round...
-
Hi there, We may well be doing a re-run of these in the near future. Watch this space.... Cheers! Fran

Hi Graham Sorry, been out sick myself with dreaded man flu, and we were off site yesterday for a meeting, surveying in the UK at the start of the week etc. so it's been a busy couple of weeks post Glasgow and pre Ally Pally getting the ploughs done and the Accuascale cement wagons finished too. Will get back to you on your query today. Cheers! Fran
-
We're getting there Gareth, but without a real one it proved to be the stumbling block in the whole 42 ft project and held it up somewhat. But, finally, we have all the data we need so it should be not too far after the liners. Cheers! Fran
-
Know which one I’d rather listen to though. Excellent!

They seem to get swapped around during maintenance visits. Bogies are service and are in a pool I believe, and when a wagon comes in for service the can be put on the next available set of refurbed bogies and put back out into service. Maybe someone like @ttc0169 would have a better insight, but we work of prototype pics so the photo we used would've had the correct bogies. Good spot!

IRM will be there with a limited supply of Tara's (they're flying out the door) plough production sample, some Accurascale stock and samples including the Deltic 3D print and our O gauge wagon, Rawie buffer stop sample and we can take A Class, Ploiugh and Liner pre-orders on the day. See you there!

Hi Noel, Many thanks for the message! It's something we are debating ourselves at the moment, and we are thinking we may do it around the Bangor Show in April, but we havent fully decided yet. Obviously with the 42 range and the As there is a lot announced already that we care working hard on, but we do have some additional items to announce. Once we have the bones of them together we can make the announcement, but a lot of it is dependent around the recommencement after Chinese New Year. We are still open to doing a social gathering and may do one for when the A's land. Cheers! Fran
-
We’re delighted to say that tooling will continue after Chinese New Year and we will have samples shortly after that. It’s a huge project with a huge amount of tooling required. Cheers, Fran
