  3. Hi everyone, We will do a detailed post on how to remove the body later today. It’s a bit tight, but you do not remove the screws, that is just for the interior only. We will also show where the yellow pieces fit. Cheers! Fran
  4. Hi everyone, We will be at there this weekend too where we will have the latest IRM news as well as the new plough vans for sale as well as the remaining stock of Tara Mines Wagons. We will also have some Accurascale stock for sale too, if you want anything specific from Accurascale in OO or O let us know by Wednesday and we can arrange! We might also have something previously unannounced from IRM to show you this weekend too. So, make sure you drop by and have a look! Cheers! Fran
  5. Correct, worked well on our samples and doesn’t clutter the van up with as many wires!
  6. Will be out of customs by Monday and the real fun begins!
  7. Hi guys, We love the museum, but we already have a launch plan in place for the A Class. Sean is more than welcome to join the forum of course. Cheers! Fran
  8. We insist that our locos can pull big heavy trains, Colin, so no worries there! China are doing a super job in that aspect in fairness to them! Cheers, Fran
  9. Thanks for the feedback everyone! It is progressing well and we are pushing hard to have them here for the October show! The A is very dear to us all, so you can imagine how far we are going to go to push the standards we want to achieve! Cheers! Fran
  10. This will be possible. More on this in time. Cheers! Fran
  11. Hi Robert, Many thanks! Our Locos have tungsten alloy chassis, not mazak, and we will have a healthy supply of spares. Cheers! Fran
  12. The Mark IIIs are still a good model, and in some ways still the most accurate rendition of the coaches ever done.
  13. Hi everyone, Here is sneak peek at the design for the internals of the the A. Here you can see the heavy chassis block, large central can motor with twin fly wheels and circuit board. This work has been approved and tooling of the chassis components is well under way! Exciting times I'm sure you will agree! Cheers! Fran
  14. Marks Models sells the DCC concepts zen. It's a nice decoder.
  15. We will have some news at Bangor all going well, but since we have Liners, Ferts, Guinness Flats, Spoils, Weedspray, plough vans, the last of the Taras and the A's to come in the next year we dont want to overload you too much!
  16. Hi everyone, We're delighted to announce that the ploughs are finally finished! They will leave China in about a weeks time and we should have them ahead of the Bangor show, all going well. We will keep you up to speed with further developments! Cheers, Fran
  17. Hi everyone, Here is a look at the CIE plough. We got in a sample previously, but we were not happy with it in several areas, so we had to reject the sample and make tweaks. Thankfully this sample is much more like it. It caused part of the Plough delay, but we felt it best that we get it right. is will be a one off run, so don't miss out on them! https://irishrailwaymodels.com/collections/ballast-plough/products/cie-ir-ballast-plough-van-cie-era Cheers! Fran
  18. Absolutely stunning Sean!
  19. About 3 weeks away, folks. They’re almost done! Happy St. Patrick’s Day to you all!
  20. Hi Mark, Check out our website for published pricing on releases so far. A classes are from €189.95 with the special edition A1 €220. The 42ft liner flats are €100 for a pack of two, with bundle deals available, and the rest of the 42 range will be more or less the same. https://irishrailwaymodels.com/ Cheers, Fran
  21. Hi everyone, There is room to discuss all manufacturers, from ourselves, to Murphy Models, to Silver Fox to kit manufacturers such as JM Design and SSM etc. There is no limit to who can be discussed, once it is fair, balanced and respectful. We have had to pull members about this before, such as the delivery of the MM 121 as it was disrespectful and childish, and we really rather we didnt have to do that. For the most part those rules are respected, which is great, and a very much isolated incidents. In the same vein, peoples diverse interests should be respected too, so per way yellow, black and tan, diesel, steam etc should not be run down and slagged off. If you don't have an interest in it, or if it doesn't float your boat, fine. There is little point in telling the whole forum though. It serves little purpose. There are aspects of Irish railways and model railways that bore the arse off us all, me included, but I don't feel the need to repeat that ad nauseam as at the end of the day it makes someone look a bit silly. Stick to what floats your boat, not what sinks it, because that just comes across as moany and a bit tiresome. Finally, can we return this thread to it's original subject please? Cheers. Fran
  22. Their Royal Scot and Patriot are nice. Not had a new coronation yet so dont know how good they are. Always liked the panniers and some of the bigger GWR tanks but all those 460s they made all looked exactly the same to me I have to say!
  23. Spoil-er alert! One of the many parts of the colossal project 42 currently in tooling; the modern spoil train. Expect to see these in stock late this year, with liners, ferts and kegs ahead in the queue before that. Cheers! Fran
  24. Hornby are still top dog by some way. I would recommend an A4 or Britannia if you want to see what they can do. They've come a long long way since the move to China. Cheers, Fran
