Correct!

Hi David, If you listed them here with a price I reckon you'd shift most of it very quickly and avoid the EBay fees along the way. Just a thought. We dont charge for listings and it's a big captive audience for you. Cheers, Fran

Hi Jim, Yes they did indeed, doors were removed, repaired, and put back on in a a bit of an adhoc manner. We are still blasting through pre-orders here, thank you for your patience. We will have the balance on sale later this week and will have news of when in the coming days. Cheers! Fran

Hi everyone, if we could move on now and leave this thread for the discussion of the models themselves when they arrive with you all next week it would be much appreciated. Once all the pre-orders are cleared early next week the remaining stock will go on sale which we will inform you about here and elsewhere (Facebook, email etc) Cheers! Fran

Hi everyone, Shipping the ferts from the UK is a sound business decision made by us for many reasons. As Stephen says, they ship to Ireland very quickly indeed with different options available. I’m not sure why it matters so much where they’re shipped from? What matters is the models themselves and that they arrive in excellent condition in quick time. Nothing more. cheers, Fran

Sadly not George! But you never know, they may tumble out of somewhere else one day!

Hi Shem, Yes, Tara's sold out in about 20 minutes. We really didnt have that many. Bubbles still in stock! Cheers! Fran

Hi everyone, The ferts have arrived and we are currently packing up all the pre-orders for dispatch. This will take us a few days due to the levels of pre-orders so please be patient. Once these are clear we will open up the order book for the remaining stock. Cheers! Fran

Hi everyone, We have done a bit of a stock clear up and managed to find some packs A-D Taras in very limited quantities. These are now on the website and available to buy, so if you missed out on Taras, here is your chance! https://irishrailwaymodels.com/collections/tara-mines All the bubbles are now back in stock too, the greys are beginning to run low, so if you fancy them, it's worth grabbing them soon! https://irishrailwaymodels.com/collections/cement-bubbles Cheers! Fran

No, I believe the Tommy Tighe who built the layout has since passed away.

Who would've thought executive luncheons were a big thing back then in Phibsborough!

Ferts on the Way! Our highly anticipated fertiliser wagons are almost here and will be dispatched from mid February. We managed to get these beauties out of China before their new year celebrations and look forward to their arrival. We recently took these production samples to South Dublin Model Railway Club and posed them on their 'Kildare' layout, where they look right at home! All current pre-orders will be fulfilled first, and once they are clear the limited remaining stock will be open to customers to buy. They wont hang around, so keep an eye on this thread, our website and subscribe to our newsletter at the bottom of our home page to make sure you are prepared! https://irishrailwaymodels.com/

Over 2,700 kilometres between the two regions, so about a distance of Dublin to Eastern Europe in comparison. Something we will keep an eye on of course but I think we should be okay!

Check out address pal with An Post Dave, gives you a US address (like parcel motel) handy for those US only postage situations. Nice find!

I dunno, cant be worse than the driving I see on a daily basis on the M50. Horrendous carry on! Electric is certainly the future, and once it comes to all the run of the mill cars we use it will be widespread in popularity. Considering the small size of the country I cant see range anxiety being much of a problem.

Hi everyone, Great news! We now accept one4all cards! We can now accept one4all cards both online and at shows. So, if you got one for Christmas you can now spend it on some IRM goodies! If using online, simply go to check out and enter the details like a normal credit or debit card with 'one4all' as the name on the payment card. Please also note that you cannot use it as part payment when ordering on the website. The card must have more or equal value to the item you are buying on it. We can split it at shows though! Please also note due to EU directives that max spend on traditional one4all cards online is €50. A new chip and pin card is due out in Q1 this year that raises that limit to €500. We can take any amount in person! Cheers! Fran

We should have news on an arrival date before the end of the week! Cheers! Fran

A Class Update! Hi everyone, We have been working hard on our A Class in the background in recent months in a quest to get it right. We can now confirm a delivery date of mid-October 2020. We apologise for this delay, but it is important to get the model right and produce the best A Class in OO gauge. Check out our website for more information: https://irishrailwaymodels.com/blogs/announcements/a-class-update-january-2020 Thanks, Fran (on behalf of IRM Team)

Was very lucky to pop in yesterday to drop something off and had a quick look. The museum is very well done, as is all the displays. It's great to see the Fry collection out on view again after so many years of sitting in storage. Hopefully all the hard work will be worth it and the museum is a success. Cheers! Fran

Whats happening to the spoil wagons?
Warbonnet replied to Railer's topic in What's happening on the network?
The weedspray has already been replaced by the MPV. The weedspray is currently used for brake force for the sperry train only. -

A mole in the matrix has confirmed that they are going to Limerick for exams 8 at a time. Once complete they get their bodies back. -
Going by the trucks I would say mid 80s at least.

We are indeed! Yes, the filter is correct. Cheers! Fran
