  1. You can say that again:
  2. Will we be getting a "leader board" like for the A classes or will they just sell out without warning?
  3. Looking at the underside of the bogies I'm wondering will the brake blocks sit behind the wheels where the wheels are pushed out to 21mm? Or is there a magic IRM solution for that in the works?
  4. No. The GM's couldn't do Push Pull. The DVT was used as regular coaching stock with the withdrawal of the Hunslets from Enterprise duties.
  5. Did NIR ever lend a set of these to CIE/IR/IE? I believe they were lent on occasional bank holiday weekends where there was a bank holiday in the south but maybe not in the north but were they ever lent for longer periods?
  6. Woah, hang on a sec....you guys slipped a ex FK mk2c into the NIR set! I completely missed it in all the excitement. https://irishrailwaymodels.com/collections/mark-2-coaches/products/nir-mk2b-pack-corporate-intercity-1 Now that means we can almost certainly expect RTR versions of IR 4103, 4104, 4105, 4106 and 4107. 4109 was the only standard based on the mk2b so that should also be doable. Very excited for the future, even more than I was!
  7. Did they ever run all 9 of the planned bumble bee coaches together?
  8. We demand Hunslets!! lol
  9. Well you have to have something to re-release. I doubt it was forgotten. I'm sure it was a conscious decision
  10. Yeah I didn't see that coming at all. Fair play, they look beautiful already. The Hornby chaps were clearly impressed. Obviously there's some common tooling between BR and NIR versions but the decision to press ahead with the "oddball" NIR variants is brave and I hope will be rewarded. With this announcement I can't help but feel an 80 Class isn't too many years away.....
  11. Park Royals make the most sense to me given the hints about coaching stock and the fact they ran with A's their whole (long) lives.
  12. *Bicycle pump not included
  13. My money is on a DCC ready Lartigue Monorail starter set, complete with matching calves.
  14. What happened to the roof at Broadstone?
  15. Derby day with trains at the Curragh: http://catalogue.nli.ie/Record/vtls000731468/HierarchyTree
  16. Sad state of affairs. I ate a nice cooked dinner on the train (The Berliner, running from Hamburg to Prague, operated by CD) down to Dresden yesterday. There's nothing quite so civilised as eating a proper meal on the train, cooked in the galley. Edit: a loco hauled train too!
  17. Is there a queue, as in will older pre-orders be shipped first?
  18. That's awesome with the stay alive. Didn't think it would go anywhere near that far.
  19. Looks like the same loco indeed. I wonder has anyone here also bought it? If they have they may well be able to provide useful information to help track down the money.
  20. I believe he has or had possession of the loco and took those pictures of it. The images aren't downloaded from the internet and in fact you can see the resin printer and wash station he was trying to sell on adverts.ie before swiftly withdrawing the ad when asked where the loco is.
  21. I would if I could but I wouldn't fancy hundreds of angry Irish railway modellers looking for my scalp!
  22. In my case they will actually pass within spitting distance of my house as the train passes to the south of Berlin and on to the Ruhrpott. I've seen this train pass through Schönefeld airport station before. It often stops there, presumably for a crew change. Getting rather excited about my tippex A's now:
  23. That's surely a reference to those Guinness tanktainers that IRM are working on lol.
  24. Yeah I mean I'll probably be a bit wary of members such as myself that have "only" been here a year or so. Obviously the folks I've dealt with already I will be able to trust and I'd probably feel reasonably comfortable buying off long standing members or members that are recommended by others. I do suspect the odds of this happening again are pretty low though. Shame it had to happen at all.
  25. Even if PayPal don't feel inclined to assist. Taking money for an item that is then not provided is an actual crime, regardless of the method of payment. It's possibly even as serious a crime as fraud. If I was that person I'd ship that loco immediately and if it doesn't exist or has been sold elsewhere I'd return that money immediately before this escalates.
