Ah wait, now I have it. When I just view the order summary after clicking "account" (I'm using a phone not a desktop, maybe desktop layout is different) then I just see "fulfilled" and when I click into the order from that list I see the items ordered and the shipping and billing addresses but nothing much else. However when I click on the live chat I am prompted to select an order and when I do this I am redirected to a page with much more shipping information including an embedded Google map and the all important tracking reference link to royal mail. Maybe that link could be added to the initial order details page. Anyway I know where to find it now and my cement bubbles are out for delivery today. Lovely stuff

I have a question. I have an order that is showing as fulfilled. Will I get an email to say it's been shipped or even the tracking number of the parcel? Shipping is to Germany.

I'll email c-rail. They obviously have the designs done for the "missing Irish containers" as they did them for IRM for the liners. If they get a few more requests they might be persuaded to release them for sale on their site. Something special about them.

Yeah I believe I will when I have moved on from rolling stock collection mode. Some very interesting possibilities in a Limerick junction/Limerick/Foynes/Nenagh layout.

Can I ask a noob question? Why are royal mail involved? Are the products shipped from Ireland or the UK? Just curious.

Personally I think track occupancy cannot easily be replaced by a wireless solution. How do you detect a lost wagon without block occupancy detection via the rails themselves? I'm in rolling stock collection mode for the next couple of years having just returned to this hobby after a 25 year hiatus. I intend to use the bidib (bidirectional bus) open standard which has been developed by mostly German manufacturers and openDCC folks. I already built my first openDCC central station (Zentrale in German) a few years ago during a brief return to the idea of a layout and I'll reuse that for programming purposes only as it's incompatible with the bidib concept. The main advantage of bidirectional communication is that if you completely power your layout down or you have a power cut or whatever, the DCC chips self identify to the host software (I will use the open source rocrail to run the "boring" parts of my layout, taking control of shunting movements myself at stations and yards). The bidib bus goes further though and there are a multitude of boards available as kits to drive motors/servos/leds/whatever. The main supplier of the kits is the fichtelbahn shop.

Hopefully IRM can push the Irish models more alongside the Accurascale line in GB. There is definitely more opportunity there. There is a huge untapped market in the EU also. I'm a member of a small German forum for modellers of British & Irish outline. The view of the average German modeller is simply dated. They remember vaguely the relatively poor UK models of yesteryear, when they already had finescale stuff as standard. They remember the awful tension lock couplers being "toy like" but that's all history. Nowadays the RTR models of UK and Irish outline can be on a par with typical offerings here and NEM pockets mean you can ditch the tension lock couplers for something more realistic with ease. Maybe it's time for a renewed marketing effort here in Germany by UK and Irish outline manufacturers and the wider EU. As someone on my German forum posted "I got sick and tired of all my locos being black with red wheels". There is certainly potential in that market, after all plenty of UK and Irish modellers buy German models. Why not the other way around. One can dream anyway!

Ah maybe it's because it was my first order with you guys and I had yet to enter my address. I actually didn't notice or don't recall noticing anything on my second order now that you mention it. Anyway I'm pleased you guys are doing what you're doing and wish you every success. I firmly believe the presence of a solid couple of companies doing RTR Irish outline helps everyone including the kit suppliers. I simply wouldn't have had the time to consider kit building everything for an Irish themed layout but now I can build a foundation of rolling stock based on your products and PMs too and then happily buy the odd kit to fill the gaps. One thing that hasn't gone unnoticed is your very fair €5 shipping to those of us outside Ireland but still in the EU. That's much appreciated Keep up the great work. Philip near Berlin.

You can search the Clare Co Co website for planning applications. Just Putin Moyasta in the location field and museum in the description field and 3 applications are returned. The one in 2019 seems to be just for retention of PP granted back in 2010 but I didn't go into the files.

I ordered 4 x A Class in a single order (with nothing else) and got the warning but none of these are stock items yet, right? They all said "pre order" as far as I can recall. I just noticed this thread now. Maybe someone needs to check that all the A classes are correctly configured in the shop system unless some are actually in stock now? I ordered the 4 IR tippex liveried ones. Also, now that I'm writing about my order experience, I should let you know that the initial checkout screen is confusing as it lists the items ex-Vat which is not common in online retail. You see the retail price Inc Vat everywhere usually, from start to finish of the checkout process. Maybe it's intentional but it is unusual and I wondered what was going on for a moment.

Are rakes of Cravens really that easy to pick up?

Does anybody else remember this place? I'm 41 and I have vague memories of going in there with my late father and being over the moon about getting some FS Lima thing because it had a light on the front. It was H0 as well. They had a small layout surrounded by a bubble dome in plastic and IIRC it was also a post office or sub post office. It was just off Fleet Street, perhaps Aston Place? I think as went in the front door the layout was to your immediate left and the post office to the rear wall, with the shop counter being on the right.

I'd say I could live with it as I'm unlikely to get a better mkII in tippex livery any other way. The proper ones seem rare.

So just to be clear, you guys reckon they added the lining and simultaneously painted the ends all black, so just adding the lining would not pass muster?

Cheers Rob, yeah I've seen pics of them outside the works. Is that the only reason for them to have been around that area? How would they have made their way down and up? Individually or in a rake? Tagged onto the back of something else?

Great information folks. So it seems the mkII tippex models are not readily available but a bit of ST stock is (the stock some people complained about). A realistic conversion would be to add white lining (how many inches deep?) and intercity/ir decals. Is that right? If so, did the tippex lining follow the black window band all the way around to the gangway doors or stop short? Anything else I should be aware of if contemplating modification of the mkII ST models?
