Does the model have the grab rails on the two ends of the loco? The models look good in the pre production pictures.

I think a few at least are less than complete inside....
Are any of them fit to re-enter serivce as I've been hearing rumours about them making a return. The June IRRS journal reports that IÉ are making a bigger commitment to freight, backed up by the billboards seen in a few stations around the country, which I'm assuming will require more locos?
-
Who's taking bets they'll be back? As for the Intercity 201 (216) that won't ever be back unless they replace the parts they ripped out for the other 201s.

You're giving me ideas now Tom. Nice work
.

A number of clips I took today of the RPSI's "Marble City" railtour from Dublin Connolly to Kilkenny MacDonagh station. The videos were taken at Leggettsrath just outside Kilkenny. Footage includes 461 with Cravens, 461 light engine, IE 071 no. 081 and 2x3 set ICR headed by 22346. See description for details.

A couple of videos taken this week including the Claremorris to Waterford laden timber (thanks to the wanderer for that info).

Great idea Noel and great fleet of locos!
-
Seeing as my crowd are out of the All Ireland on the hurling end, I'll support either Clare or Dublin and if they both end up in the final it would have to be Clare.
-
Great work on the bubbles. I have seen plenty of evidence that 112 often worked bulk cement trains. I'm sure the others would have at some stage too.

Some pictures of 088 and timber wagons here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/99687034@N06/
Apologies for the poor quality. It was either the rain or my hand trying to shield the camera that ruined most of the shots.

Thanks lads. Here are some of those pics.

Here are some videos of 073 stopping on the Lavistown loop as it was late running and the mainline was being used by passenger services. Also I have some good, detailed, steady pictures of 073 and pocket wagons which should be useful for anyone weathering or scratchbuilding but I am having trouble uploading them so I will work on it and post them on this thread when I sort it out.

A second loco was required to shunt at Middleton and Cobh as there are no run around facilities in both these stations. I suppose they could have used the extra 201 in Cork instead but which was better from an enthusiast point of view?
-
That's strange,I thought 071s were banned from double
heading by IE?.
It wasn't really double heading as 073 was dead.
-
I completely forgot about this! Balls anyway! Nice vid!
It's meant to arrive back in Heuston at 7:45 so you still have a chance of getting it.
-
I traveled to Kildare today to catch the IRRS special from Dublin Heuston to Cork as I heard that a pair of 071s would be double heading the cravens.

088 captured hauling the fully loaded Ballina to Waterford DFDS liner at Dunbell Co. Kilkenny

220 river Blackwater videoed at the same location last Friday on the Ballina to Waterford DFDS liner

And just a random ICR passing Gowran level crossing Co. Kilkenny
I have more of this weeks freight workings on my channel but the timber trains were a no show every day except for this morning.

Great pics there Tom.

Maybe a set of two standard auto ballasters?
-
Thanks Noel, nice idea with the refurbished timber wagon too. I notice bits and pieces of the Westport rake have been repainted. Do you know if 209 will be back down to Waterford next week?
-
Thanks lads, Hopefully 209 will return to Waterford next week and I'll share a few more shots with ye.

Nice clips there Warbonnet. A whole station all to yourself and in the middle of fours tracks too.
