  3. Regrettably my email to MM customer service,re baffling detailing items, generated an automated reply, ‘if you have warranty problem contact the stockist you purchased from’. ‘MM is a trade only supplier’ etc. Does anyone have a contact email for Paddy Murphy ? or would they contact him on my behalf please. See photo below. Thanks
  4. I sense a warm feeling in my water coming on !
  5. I would much rather purchase quality products from IRM than made up items elsewhere !
  6. Not quite so lucky in UK, still waiting for mine ordered last Friday, R Mail very short of staff. Spoil wagons delivery pushed back by 2 days, hopefully tomorrow !
  7. I wanted to purchase TPO, Heating Vans and 5 1951/53 coaches from Silver Fox. They only produce Irish models in August, so I have to wait till 2022 if not longer. There is a market gap out there waiting to be filled !
  8. As suggested by ‘Old Blarney’ I emailed MM Customer Service re the baffling items. Having hit myself over the head with a modelling hammer, why didn’t I think of that.
  9. I am still baffled by 2 detailing items in the kit supplied, 3 tiny grey (possibly lamp brackets) why 3 & not 4 ! A black cylindrical object with a narrow pipe extending from top outwards & then a short bend. It fits on the stub situated on the 2nd roof panel behind the cab. I have examined Ernie’s photos of 121 class, kindly posted by ‘Old Blarney’ David White, and can’t see a black cylinder type object. Help !
  10. Agreed, I also have fixed rakes of BR wagons to which I have fitted Kadees and removed the Trip pins. I have Hunt couplings fitted to my suburban passenger stock with Kadees on each end.
  11. 9 CIE IRM Ballast wagons arrived yesterday. Now to go about fitting Kadees ! From my bad experience of trying to convert Lima Mk1’s with Kadees I came across Matt at Vectis Model Rail. Emailed him yesterday re Ballast wagons and he suggested his Bachmann Prairie NEM converter, Prairie comes with cranked TLC. I have ordered some to see it they suit and I will post the results, if not, I will send Matt a ballast wagon and he will make a suitable converter. I know Noel has glued No.18’s under NEM pocket on IRM’s advice and it works, but I would rather find another substitute to glueing.
  12. Apologies for slow reply, Thank you for posting, food for thought.
  13. Could anyone post photos of a Class 121 with the detailing kit added. I’m not familiar with what goes where. Thanks.
  14. I’m running in No.121 on DC and noticed the marker lights at cab end show 3 white with 1 red at bonnet end. Is that correct ? Please note I have yet to fit DCC sound decoder. Thanks
  15. Watched a Gerry Conmy video of lifting Loco 361 in Inchicore works, amazing cooperation between CIE & RPSI.
  16. I only intend to use lamps on A1 and will hopefully solder direct to base beneath decoder Pin 8 & Pin 16 tabs.
  17. Hi Old B, You mentioned Kadee replacement couplings, I have MM Cravens with NEM 362 pockets that I trial fitted with Kadee No. 20 couplings but they are 2mm short. Have you any suggestions to overcome this problem. I asked this question in the forum 6 weeks ago, no replies ! Thanks F4f
  18. Old B, At the age of 11 yrs old (1966), while on holidays in Galway, I used to shunt the yard on an A class with Driver Pierce Wade making up the evening goods train. I emigrated in 1978 and became a Driver on British Rail at Waterloo, London, I retired in 2016. Regards F4f.
  19. Can’t believe so many photos of WCR, my home town of Kilrush and neighbouring Cappa pier where I went swimming as a child. Thank you.
  20. I’m thinking of fitting working head lamp/s to A Class A1 when it arrives. Did the A Class run with head lamps in 50’s / 60’s prior to being re engined and head light cluster fitted ? Thanks.
