Three done at last, have to take a little break before attempting the others.
Tom, i'm not sure on the autoballasters as the bachmann ones are not too hand many thanks for the nice comments, your step by step came in really handy during the repaint that tamiya masking tape is really good stuff, i only had 2 paint leaks during the 3 repaints!!!

On the way back from Portlaoise(I wonder why i was up there:)), I spent a bit of time trying to find the long closed Portlaoise line from Ballyragget south to Kilkenny. To be honest even trying to find the alignment was hard in places but the odd telegraph pole gave the alignment away.

Goods Shed at Clonmel.
I’m thinking of building a Goods Shed based on the one at Clonmel (see Kirley Junction Layout thread) and am looking for photographs of it or similar ones.
The photographs I have seen so far give me a limited view of three sides but none of the ‘road side’ wall.
Any help would be most appreciated.

Typical 071 has only settled in!!!
Just checked with modelshopbelfast and the model will be produced with front grab rails in place, as it would have been cost prohibitive to re-tool the cabs to reflect the prototype with no front grab rails. Also, noticed that the yellow area seems to be curved at the edges, but the prototype is 90 degree straight edges, is it not?
Still looks an excellent model though. Might invest in both and get one of the skilled craftsmen on here to rectify the handrail situation.
Wouldn t be the hardest job in the world, i'm sure weshty would do a replacement yellow area decal to cover up the area after.
Hmm 077 & 078 in grey plus the 2 orange already ordered looks like the 071's will out number the baby fleet.

Fran, rm web is good for that, bought a complete 37 for £40 including postage, got £20 for the body, sold the detail bits and box for just under a tenner;). (Im a right auld Delboy when i want to be)

On one of the old irish sites a member used a bachmann cl 24/25 chassis on a B201 class by shortening the metal chassis, also a few British modellers have used modified bachmann cl 37 chassis for their cl 89 electric kits, i'm sure model rail covered it as well.
Its what i'm planning for my a class:)

Would an Athearn sw1500 not be a better fit than an SD45, roof contour etc? An SD45 is very angular. Or horror of horrors use a 141 chassis?
Have an sd 45 to hand, 141 chassis is too long as far as i know.
-
Richie, I was thinking of using an athearn sd 45 body cut n shut job, the sd 45 cab and small bonnet chopped off plus approx 2.5 cm off the main bonnet. The 121 cab would be a total scratchbuild and be placed in the 2.5cm were the main bonnet was.
There's a lot off suttle angles etc on the 121 which i only noticed when looking at the drawings v photos.
The chassis i feel would definetly be a scratchbuild or at a push a frateschi chassis.

A Macroom ticket is a rare item, more so if it's been dated and used.
Its from 1931, it was given to me about 10 years ago. It has been used small bit cut of the side. I ll have a look for it later and i ll post up a pic of it

Oh boy what a morning trying to get a good pic of 088.
Done a few practice shots 083 looking good at the fuelling point, Hueston bound railcar and the Morning service on the south tipp line, but really struggled with the pics, so tried the other fav spots
The cutting in Ferrybank no good, tried the station platform but found it closed and nobody about. When t over the border to my usual spot, a quick text to warn the KK boys of her movements and danna she arrived.
