  1. Dunpaintin and duntilin. Cheers Darius
  2. Thanks guys but a closer look will show that the valancing is not laser cut; rather my good self with a Stanley Knife. Cheers Darius
  3. Made a start on the down platform waiting room. Cheers Darius
  4. Question: this looks like a shoreline navigational hazard marker. Is it that kind of sign and does anyone know what the seaward facing marking is/was? Cheers Darius
  5. Bring me sunshine Cheers Darius
  6. Did some scenic work around the footbridge today. Cheers Darius
  7. Added a few more things… Cheers Darius
  8. Track ballasted to the station area. I traced the edges of the platform walls on the baseboard and then placed tape along the marked lines. This ensured that the areas under the platform positions were not ballasted. The tape is removed when the ballast glue (diluted pva) has partially set, leaving a neat edge. Cheers Darius
  9. Cheers Darius
  10. The 3D printed Humber Pigs are from a seller on eBay. The RUC and Army Land rovers are modified (by me) Oxford Diecast. Cheers Darius
  11. Up platform and station building footprints templated. I reduced the depth of the buildings to accommodate the “hidden” storage siding. Platform constructed using 2mm thick card stock. Cheers Darius
  12. Some more progress on the station. Cheers Darius
  13. Whiterock Station down platform built from 2mm card stock. I traced the edge profile using a pencil held against the centre of one of the CAF3000 coaches. Platform edging and paving added using photo paper strips cut to size - matt side up (mostly). Cheers Darius
  14. Point rodding added to the down line. Cheers Darius
  15. Cheers Darius
  16. Here you go. Cheers Darius
  17. Added a couple of 3D printed Humber Pigs to the line-up. I remember queuing up with my Mum and sister to see the film Grease outside the Avenue Cinema in Belfast one evening in 1978, whilst these vehicles were preparing to go out on patrol in the Grand Central Hotel (requisitioned by the army) next door. That cinema was a real flea pit. My mum wouldn’t let us go to it again. It was knocked down in the late 1980s along with the hotel to make way for the Castle Court Shopping Centre. Cheers Darius
  18. I used superglue and swearing. Cheers Darius
  19. The point rodding is a prominent feature of the Magheramorne Loop so this was fitted using the Wills cosmetic point rodding kits. The Wills rodding is nicely detailed but difficult to fit together as it relies on butt joint gluing rod ends together. Much easier said than done… Cheers Darius
  20. Make sure you proof read after cutting and pasting. Been there. Cheers Darius
  21. Not that I am aware of. My father was Indian (Parsee religion) and my mother is English of Irish descent (Buckley and Duffy) so no royal blood. Cheers Darius
  22. …look on my works, ye mighty, and despair. Cheers Darius
  23. NIR MPD No.63 enters Magheramorne Loop with a light goods working to Larne. A short time later, NIR 70 Class No. 71 “River Bush” passes en route to Belfast York Road. Cheers Darius
  24. Actually no, just for fun. The railway modelling that is. As for being a King; I couldn’t possibly comment. Cheers Darius
