That whitewashed pebbledash wall was highly susceptible to frost and ice damage - hence the visible repair patches. I spent several weekends reluctantly wire brushing accumulated dirt and the damaged render away so my Dad could affect repairs. Cheers Darius

This is a model of the family home in Belfast that I made in the early 1980s. It’s been bubble wrapped for over 40 years and was in the loft(s) of my parents houses for many years. It’s just now been unwrapped. Its interesting to compare with the real house as it is now on Streetview. The plan is to separate the model house from its surrounding, repair/refurbish it and transplant it onto my Whiterock layout. Cheers Darius

Lower level baseboard construction moves to the other side of the shed. This will accommodate larger through storage sidings with a return loop connecting to the helix that links to the upper scenic levels. Cheers Darius

The trick is to apply varied colours of flock to the shrubbery using hairspray to fix it in place. This gives it a variegated colour rather than the solid green of the base shrubbery. It also makes the layout room quite fragrant for an hour or so. Cheers Darius

I have found the best way to embed videos is to have a (free) Youtube account. You upload the video to YouTube and then post a link on IRM, which embeds the video. Cheers Darius
