After a nearly two year hiatus, Middlemark V2.0 is under construction in a new, larger shed. The lower storage level to one side of the shed has been installed and the helix extracted from storage and fixed in position. We have taken the opportunity to improve things compared to the old shed. All levels are 3in higher up from the floor and the helix has been fixed away from the walls to enable a track to run behind it to feed the storage area. Cheers Darius

For the past two days I have noticed that the IRM site and pages/topics are taking a long time to load - sometimes up to a minute. This does not happen with other websites. Has anyone else experienced this? Darius

Somewhere on VHS Tape I have a recording of a documentary called “Steel Chest, Nail in the Boot and the Barking Dog”, which was about the men who worked at Harland & Wolff. Steelchest, Nail in the Boot and the Barking Dog My father was an apprentice marine engineer at Harland & Wolff in the late 1950s. There is footage of trains at Bridgend part way through the programme. A time and place that has largely disappeared, alas. Cheers Darius

Somewhere on VHS Tape I have a recording of a documentary called “Steel Chest, Nail in the Boot and the Barking Dog”, which was about the men who worked at Harland & Wolff. It features James Galway and the street in question. Steelchest, Nail in the Boot and the Barking Dog A time that has now disappeared, alas. Cheers Darius

Hi Leslie I have found that loosening the screws holding the non-power bogies on all the coaches helps to reduce the derailments for my 4DD. Others have found that removing the bodies and loosening the attachment screws to the coupling units also helps. Cheers Darius

Sea wall surface made using Wills crazy paving sheets cut to fit and blended together with a skim coat of plaster of Paris. Plan is to colour using Woodland Scenics rock pigments. Cheers Darius
