  1. It’s an N gauge layout called James Street. Cheers Darius
  2. Located in Queen Street in central Belfast - the Belfast Model Shop was next door and the sporting goods shop (and school uniform supplier) SS Moore was across the road as I recall. I spent many a Saturday morning in their model railway section. They even had a few continental HO items (mainly Fleischmann) in a locked glass cabinet. Happy Days Cheers Darius
  3. We met up at South Wimbledon with a mutual friend who lives in Morden. The Northern line to Stockwell and the Victoria to Finsbury Park is surprisingly quick as the interchanges are side by side on the same level - much faster than the District to Earls Court. Cheers Darius
  4. It was quite the Cook’s tour to get there - I drove up from Worthing to Croydon on Friday afternoon. Stayed overnight with a friend and on Saturday morning we got the bus from South to Central Croydon (as it was raining), tram to Merton Park, walked to South Wimbledon tube, Northern, Victoria and Piccadilly lines to Wood Green and bus to Ally Pally. David and David recognised me from the photo of the both of us at Warley, which you posted. I think it helped that I was wearing pretty much the same clothes… Cheers Darius
  5. It was huge and seriously impressive in its attention to detail everywhere. I can’t imagine how complicated it must be to set up and dismantle. Note where the barrel of the Challenger II tank is directed… Cheers Darius
  6. Three of us went yesterday using bus tram tube and bus - which didn’t take much longer than the regular (non strike) train trip. Really enjoyed the exhibition. I also met Galteemore and David Holman from here, which was really nice. Cheers Darius
  7. Thanks David. Years of looking into back gardens and yards from passing trains hasn’t gone to waste Cheers Darius PS it was really nice to meet you and Galteemore at Ally Pally yesterday.
  8. Fitting out the back yards is my favourite part. Cheers Darius
  9. Roofing completed. The tiles need some “toning down” to blend them in with the adjacent roofs. Also need to add chimney pots. Cheers Darius
  10. End walls fitted - one end adapted to follow the curve of the street. Roofing next. Cheers Darius
  11. Another Scalescenes terraced house under construction. Cheers Darius
  12. Some more embankment slopes grassed up… Cheers Darius
  13. Completed embankment slopes installed on the layout. They are designed to be push fit only (i.e. not glued in place) so they can be removed to get access to point motors etc. for the upper track level. Cheers Darius
  14. More supplies added to the Builders Yard. Cheers Darius
  15. Scratch built using card, acetate sheet and brick paper. To go in one of the back yards of the row of terraced houses I am building. The plants are ready made items from eBay. Cheers Darius
  16. Engineering Works (of course it does). Modified Scalescenes free download “low relief” kit. Cheers Darius
  17. Fork lifts “de-logo(ed)”. I also toned down the shininess of the Leccy Van. Cheers Darius
  18. Well spotted. They will get a repaint and weathering at some stage Cheers Darius
  19. Some more… Cheers Darius
  20. Hi George. They were 3D prints obtained from eBay. Cheers Darius
  21. Shrubbery… Had to apply then this way up as they kept rolling down the slope the other way… Flocking next… Cheers Darius
