Great documentary. I have it on DVD along with “Monsoon Railway” and “Indian Hill Railways”. Cheers Darius

Made a start on the remaining three coaches for the “Bombay Local” EMU set that I started in 2016. The coach bodies are made from plasticard and fixed to a modified Triang Mk1 coach chassis. 2016 Bombay Local construction thread here Cheers Darius

Someone needs to get up to Magheramorne with a bag and a hammer, or, failing that, dig some out of the M2 embankment… Cheers Darius

Hi Robert, A couple of Jeeps (at least) would be heading my way once someone (IRM hint hint) decides to produce rtr versions. I have just received some more Double Beet and Spoil Wagon kits from Leslie so these should keep me busy over the next few weeks. Cheers Darius

Hi John, I plan to use Phoenix enamel BR rail grey cut with a little blue - as I did with the two that I made previously. Cheers Darius

Simply the beets. With apologies to the late, great, Tina Turner. Cheers Darius

How I did the beet loads. Load support “tables” made from 2mm thick card and glued together using pva. Tabletops painted black (to stop any light card colour showing through) and tables dropped into the wagon. Neat pva applied to the tabletops and beets spooned on - pressing them in gently with fingertips. Beets secured in place using diluted pva - sort of ballasting with beets. Loaded wagons join the rake. Cheers Darius

Two more completed. Beet loads to follow… Cheers Darius

Hi John, For the base colour I airbrushed Phoenix “Rusty Nails” Track Colour enamel mixed with a little Matt Black and thinned for airbrushing. Once dry I misted on a weak coat of light grey. Sugar beet loads added. Cheers Darius

Primer on. The detail on the resin moulded parts is superb. I’ve even got some model sugar beets with which to load the wagons. Strictly speaking they’re HO rather than OO but hopefully no one will mind… Cheers Darius
