  1. CAF sets 3002+3005 worked the entire 06:50 ex Belfast diagram today. However, this set was involved in a fatality on the 18:05 Ex Belfast. No idea about 20:50 Ex Dublin but was reported as starting late. @Darrman what service are you getting?
  2. I took an ICR to Dublin once and it was okay. Also sometimes Irish Rail use 29000s on this service (Nothing against these) but I do find them better than nothing for substitutions.
  3. The 16:05 Ex Belfast Enterprise had an issue at Drogheda. Currently 15 minutes late.
  4. 3002 worked 0650 & 1235 x Belfast and 0930 & 1520 x Dublin. as far as I know the 1805 is a DD set.
  5. Will be on the 06.50 & 09.30 tomorrow. CAFs 3002 + 3005 on the 18:05 Ex Belfast Enterprise on Monday (16th October). Apologies about the bad shot of 3005, these are video shots.

  7. @airfixfan Here is what happened: The 0650 ex Belfast failed at either Lisburn or Lurgan (unsure which one) But pax were put onto the 0800 ex Belfast which called at Lisburn. The 0930 ex Dublin was either a 29000 or DD ICR 36 worked the 0735 & 1320 ex Dublin, 1035 & 1605 ex Belfast. The 1900 ex Dublin is a 6 piece NIR CAF.
  8. Here’s more details: the 1235 ex Belfast (9003/8209) failed at Dundalk and passengers transferred to either an Irish Rail set or the 1405 ex Belfast at Dundalk. The 1805 from Belfast & 2050 from Dublin are NIR CAFs sets 3002+3005. the 1520 to Belfast was formed by ICR set 22036, this went through Moira at 1841 heading empty.
  9. The following cross border train services will be altered today (16/10/23), and will be operated by a non-Enterprise train with no 1st class and limited catering available on board. 15:20 Dublin Connolly to Belfast Lanyon Place 18:05 Belfast Lanyon Place to Dublin Connolly 20:50 Dublin Connolly to Belfast Lanyon Place
  10. Due to a train fault 12:00 Dublin Connolly to #Portadown has been delayed at Dublin Connolly and is now 11 minutes late.
  11. Anyone know what’s working 10:00 Connolly/Portadown today?
  12. Yeah I’m not entirely sure the DART to Drogheda will be a good idea though. The Enterprise is typically always about 10 to 15 minutes late into Dublin every day because of DARTs. So extending would add atleast 30 to 40 minutes on to a journey. I took the 1035 from Belfast to Dublin on 9th April & 4th November last year, the first one a DD, other one a 22000, and the DD was 20 minutes late into Connolly due to the DART. During the ICR trip, It trailed behind a DART from Malahide so it was 16 minutes late as a result. Mind you, on both the mentioned dates I returned on the 1900 to Belfast and there wasn’t a lot wrong except for a short delay. On the 4th November we were 10 or 11 minutes late into Portadown so I could quickly transfer to a CAF. The Belfast line is the same, if an Enterprise is heavily delayed it follows a stopper CAF to either Lisburn or Adelaide. Sometimes NIR make trains into an express to Belfast if a delayed Enterprise is close behind.
  13. Possibility for 10:00 Ex Dublin to be DD but booked ICR.
  14. 18:05 Lanyon Place to Dublin Connolly due 20:15 has been delayed at Lanyon Place and is now 21 minutes late. This is due to earlier signalling problems. Translink did not update regarding 19:00 Ex Dublin but likely 15 minutes late. Also, 8208 was noted through Dunmurry earlier LE in the Lisburn direction. Suspect this is required if a loco fails on the Enterprise tomorrow as Belfast - Portadown. Not sure if the 6 car CAF will be sent if not already there. Due to low rail adhesion as a result of Autumn leaf fall, the following Belfast/Dublin rail services will operate as non-Enterprise trains, and will be operated by Irish Rail trains from Monday 2 October 2023 until Sunday 26 November 2023. 1st Class & catering facilities are available on these services. Monday-Saturday 07:35 Dublin Connolly to Belfast Lanyon Place 10:35 Belfast Lanyon Place to Dublin Connolly Sundays 10:00 Dublin Connolly to Belfast Lanyon Place 13:05 Belfast Lanyon Place to Dublin Connolly Info for anyone travelling.
  15. There are plans for DD replacements but this is not due to start until 2026.
  16. Due to signalling issues the 15:20 Dublin Connolly to Lanyon Place has been delayed at #Portadown and is now 30 minutes late & 16:05 Lanyon Place to Dublin Connolly has been delayed at Portadown and is now 43 minutes late. 16.05 Belfast/Connolly +45mins from Portadown due to a signalling issue. Expect 18:05 Enterprise Ex Belfast to operate 15 minutes late. 19:00 Enterprise Ex Dublin will be atleast 20 minutes late.
  17. The reason was as follows; the 0800 Belfast - Dublin failed before departure or in the depot. NIR CAFs 3005 + 3002 worked the 0800 (+45) ex Belfast, 1120 (+15) ex Dublin, 1405 ex Belfast and 1900 ex Dublin. These sets have been busy covering for the DD on the 5th, 9th & 11th October. the ICRs have been busy, covering the 0735 & 1650 from Dublin and the 1035 & 2005 from Belfast on 5th, 7th & 11th October. @jhb171achill on Monday as far as I know, either the 1320 ex Dublin or 1405 ex Belfast (or both) failed at Portadown. Most likely the 1405 set as was reported as 35 late from Portadown. the 1605 from Belfast & 1900 from Dublin were a 6 car 3000 class railcar.
  18. Is the thread on Irish Railway News tapatalk ‘Enterprise Watch’ still active?
  19. Hi, Does anyone know why both the NIR & IE fotopic websites are unavailable? Bare in mind, it hasn’t been used for 10+ years but if you could assist it would be greatly appreciated.
  20. I have both of the routes installed, although they both end at Dundalk. If I go north of Dundalk on Dublin - Dundalk, the route will not load in. The original making tracks website no longer exists so I cannot find it.
  21. Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone by any chance had the Belfast - Dublin add on for MSTS? I do have this but it only runs from Dublin - Dundalk and Dundalk - Belfast. This is them here, I believe that they operate from Belfast - Dublin and are also included with Fortwilliam/York Road Depot?
