  1. If I may be pernickety for a second, its technically not ex gatwick. I believe it is actually one of the former enterprise generator brake carriages, but it had it's passenger windows plated over prior to gatwick use. (Anyone, please correct me if I aam wrong by the way!) You would probably have to do much the same type of thing to the model to make it.
  2. http://irnirishrailwaynews.yuku.com/topic/371/Re-Derry-line?page=-1#.Uh3P8ahwZoM Just seen a post in this topic on IRN about a temporary re routing of derry trains via the antrim branch. I assume this means the Lisburn to antrim branch? Might be worth taking a trip
  3. Thanks Gordon. Do you know has 112 returned north yet?
  4. Thats a fair point blaine. Just as long as nobody goes slapping silly paint on a 111, I wouldn't be overly bothered by a stobart 201. Jhb, what exactly does a conniption entail?
  5. The blue makes the sides look very tall I think.
  6. Hopefully inchicore will repair it. I wonder why she was in york road? Or had she been there since the fire perhaps?
  7. Yeah the loco is in pretty poor shape. Also, sorry about the smudges in the picture, the train window was filthy
  8. 230 at york road yesterday. I have since heard that she was hauled to Dublin this morning though
  9. Wow that was a good deal you got. I hear the new hornby power cars look very good
  10. It was certainly a lucky find! I went to the show with it in my head to look for a lima 50, and that one was the only one in the whole place!
  11. Thanks Sulzer. It gives me an excuse to run some British carriages that hadnt been run in ages aswell
  12. My friend filmed out the window as we passed, I will ask him for a still of it.
  13. I got this Lima Class 50 loco at the show in Carrickfergus today. I gave the wheels a wee clean and now it is a great runner
  14. Thanks Hunslet, yes it was markle's Northern Ireland Railways Archive, i looked the dvd out earlier and watched it. Have all the spoil wagons been scrapped now?
  15. I am nearly sure I have seen video footage of the sea cow type and the spoil wagons running together in a rake behind a hunslet, which could be an interesting arrangement to model
  16. Garfieldsghost, it was the m2 motorway construction.
  17. I was at this show today, and enjoyed it. There where some really nice layouts and a few trade stands as well. Bought myself a bargain lima class 50 which is actually a rather good runner
  18. Spotted fire damaged 230 in york road today, apparently coupled to 112, so I can only assume she was hauled up. Does anyone know what she is up for? She appeared to have pipes hanging out the cab doors and looped round the front
  19. I will post some still pictures once I upload them on to my pc, but my video camera is an older type that uses little tapes, so I cant put the footage on the pc unfortunately
  20. I went down on Monday to laytown to film the taras. 082 passed at speed hauling I think 14 wagons
  21. Thanks snapper, thats interesting.
  22. Thanks. I take it that those times are correct for every weekday?
  23. While it would be good to have a rail link to the UK, what gauge would they choose? Because no matter what one they chose, it would be incompatible with one side.
  24. Might have been 112 because she had been parked next to the sandite set at York road for a while and I noticed she had moved somewhere yesterday
  25. Most likely loco failure or an issue with the gen van on the set
