Maybe some sensible soul will keep two normal PP trailers to go with 6105 and a 121. They could be useful for the shuttle type things that occasionally get chartered from the RPSI

some more weathering pictures, this time a US outline boxcar. I bought these cars as a lot of 4 kits on ebay a while back, and they looked a little bland so i decided to weather them. 1 of them donated its chassis to my home made track cleaning wagon, and has been modelled as an old car in use as a shed. the car pictured is a running one, and i still have 2 to do

Whilst i was at Howth Jct. today, to see the taras, 201 class loco 233 ran through quite slowly light engine going towards connolly. Does anyone know where, or from whence, she was going?

The sd70m has arrived. Its a great runner, and I just need to attach the detail now and I will post pictures

Will the heljan be available for a similar price to oo sheds? If it is I would consider one, as it would be something unusual to have.

I think my dad had a playcraft set when he was young that was HO and British, pity it hasn't survived, I would have liked to compare it to OO and US HO

Hey there guys, a few updates on Portwest tonight. Firstly, i have bought an athearn genesis sd70m in unused pristine condition off ebay! secondly, i thought i would do another of those story posts. it was the first of the halloween steam specials today, and the Portwest Preservation Society were keen to show off their newly restored 'ncc' loco. the crowds came out to see this fine machine in action with a cravens set. She gets up a head of steam as she is given the right away unfortunately, young johhny had spent all his pocket money on a model, so he was unable to go on the trip but, all was not lost. On the return working, the steamer overheated a bearing, and, from his favorite spot at the end of platform 2, johnny was able to see his favorite loco, 112, help her limp back into portwest. I really hope those photos are in the right order!

Just a pity gvs is so comparatively lifeless now. Is the layout dc or dcc?

A lot of NIR stuff doesn't necessarily need to be kit built, coaches are mostly BR repaints, and railcars can be made with some bashing of RTR stock. MIR kits I believe are good, but good luck tracking them down these days! DM models (I think that is their name) recently brought out bagged cement wagons as well

The yellow panel would probably extend down over the marker lights on a 201.

To run with your theory jhb, with carriages potentially being green, and the main freight locos (071s) going back to CIE grey, maybe the 201s, as the main passenger locos, will be all over green? Personally I would like to see them in the new grey

Maybe its not finished. Or, as the roof will likely be light grey, the orange might be difficult to paint over
