The three NCC number plates are looking very nice indeed, now I need to decide whether to register or not hahah.

Thanks for the heads up, just taking a wee look now, but one thing that stood out is that this is never going to reach that price, it's only a wagon plate.

Wow that makes a huge difference, well done, superb!

Very nice work indeed.

Hello all,
This may be a bit random but I found it extremely interesting and thought I would share it with you all. I know very little about electronics however I found the process to be incredible. The video also gave me some astonisghing insight into how easy it is to make your own phone if you know where to look.

Hello everyone,
I thought I would share with you all how far my BCDR brake van has progressed and as can be seen from the photo I would say that I am half way through, there is still a lot more work to do, but thankfully Easter is here so that means two weeks off school. The body and chassis are still separate and probably won't be joined together until just before painting.
Thanks for looking!

That's a lovely setup you have and I would be sad to see it diaspaper, how about converting it into a exhibition layout, then you can have a roundy roundly layout?

Both still for sale, price now £38 each

The first acknowledgement that I got of these locos was from January last year in this thread. http://irishrailwaymodeller.com/showthread.php/5251-OO-works-announce-GNRI-U-Class?highlight=works

Very nice indeed

Have you thought about insulating the brass roller? I've read elsewhere that if you do not then the cloth can get worn away and cause shorts.
-
Looking good, please do post photos of how they look coming off of the machine.

I have just received Steam's Last Fling today and I have to say, I really do like the way it is written and I really do enjoy reading the personal observations, it really does set the scene for someone like me who was never there. Looking forward to a couple days of reading.

Hello All,
I have advertised one of the locos before but it never actually sold so I'm going to offer it for sale again, also above this I have another 2P for sale.
Both in good condition and run just fine, if you want any more photos, close ups, or a video then please do not hesitate to ask. Both locos are DC.
I am looking for £40 each ono. Postage will be £4 and you can pay either with cheque or through PayPal.
Thanks,
Nelson

35 years of NIR is the must have of that list, full of information and pictures.
Unfortunely it's expensive and outside of my budget, however I'll remember to save up for it.

Thank you for all those Kieran, I have just bought Steam's last fling off Amazon, looking forward to it. Unfortunely I had to buy a second hand one, I just hope it comes in good nick.

Hello all,
I'm just wondering if anyone can recommend any books which specially cover the early NIR years, just after the UTA or a book with a bit of both? The reason I ask is because I obtained the DVD "Steam in Northern Ireland, the final years", its very good and has lots of interesting scenes, so I just want to expand upon it.
Thanks,
Nelson

Hello everyone,
Just a quick update to show how far I have got with the BCDR brake can. Currently it happily clips onto the chassis and I am happy with how it's progressing.
Yes I forgot to paint the inside of the duckets but don't worry I'll drill behind them and paint from there. Glazing for them will be done with glue and glaze.
Unfortunetly my desk lamp has broke so I will need to obtain a new one when funds allow it, but that means that I can't model during the nights which is unfortunate.
Thanks,
Nelson

Looking good, I like the conversion you did to the cattle wagon kit

Very impressive work, looking forward to this.
And also awesome photo quality, I love it!

They were all free to view on the old RPSI website but now that they have a new website, this content has not yet been transferred over yet.
They have reassured people that all of the info on the old website will be reviewed and implemented into the new website as soon as they can.

Video edited and uploaded so if anyone wants to watch they can. I thoughouly enjoyed like I do every year and it's great to see some new layouts making an appearance.

I would also like to kindly disagree, I think the GNRI has probably the largest range of wagon, coach and loco kits along with numerous other bits and bobs.
