  1. I use Rails of Sheffield more than Hattons and find them very good, next day delivery in the UK. Unfortunately when items are sent to Ireland then time stands still. I have sent items to Ireland (ROI) and they arrive at Dublin the next day then disappear for a week or to. There is nothing they can do until 28 days have passed. I'm sure the items will turn up. Both Rails and Hattons do a lot of mail order so I'll be very surprised if either will be going under. Mail order or internet ordering is the way things are going nowadays, it's only those that lag behind that go under. Regards, Wiggy.
  2. Is this any good to you.? http://irishrailwaymodeller.com/showthread.php/471-Irish-Railways-Volume-8-Black-amp-White-Stills There is a shot of a weed spray around 1.30 There are quite a few other photo's on the DVD (Vol 8) of weed spray trains but not sure if in your era. Hope this helps. Wiggy.
  3. This is taken from one of my video's (Vol. 14 I think). I did not hang around much after it had arrived as it was there for a couple of hours so I went away and came back later but you can see what happens from out side the terminal. Wiggy.

  6. Thanks for that Rob. I have been emailing them over the past 3 or 4 months asking for info on how and where to buy along with other questions. Although they are not the ones I was referring to in the thread I have had no reply from them either. I was hopping someone on here could say what the difference was apart from me buying them to find out for my self. Thanks any way. Wiggy.

    Spares

Thanks paul, Does anyone have his email as the web site looks like a general address. A phone call will cost me about a tenner. (about 12 euro in your money) Will try it next week after Christmas. Wiggy.

    Spares

Where can I get replacement spares from.? Looking for the horns on the 141/181 that got broken when I moved house. Front valance on the MM class 201 Main circuit board for MM 201 Thanks, Wiggy.
  9. Can someone point me in the right direction on the scale of back scenes. I've asked the question from a seller and the answer I got was 'look at our web site' which did not answer the question so he will lose on my business. Now for the question. You can buy back scenes in different heights, 9", 12" & 15" so is the 9" for 'N' gauge, 12" for 'OO' and 15" for 'O' gauges or is it a matter of preference.? Simples. Please do not refer me to a web site unless it answer's my question. Thanks, Wiggy.

  22. This is something I have yet to do on my layout. I have drilled the holes under most of the points that I am going to fit under the baseboards (8mm I think) How did you fix the motor to the baseboard, screw or sticky tape.?? How did you decide on the position of the motor to the point blades, did you set the motor in the middle of the travel and the point blade in the middle as well.?? How are you going to control the motor, with switches or DCC control with modules.??? Have you removed the spring out of the point blade.?? Looked at the manual but nothing like on hand experience. I'm going to use the Tortoise motor as I have been told that the Cobalts don't last very long so not sure if anyone else has had a problem with them. Thanks, Wiggy.
  23. Well spotted. Thanks for that. Wiggy.
