  1. Check out my video from Irish railways vol 12 along Benburb Street (I think) between Smithfield and Museum. You can just see the speed sign at Smithfield saying 30 km/h. It doesn't look all that fast so I think the lorry must have jumped the junction. Wiggy.
  2. 3000 class 35.40 tons 4000 class 50 tons As listed in Irish railways traction & travel 4th edition. Wiggy.
  3. Ho the good old days.(1970's) I used to work on these vehicles. AEC Mercury I think with the 505 engine, one of the first tilt cabs. They ran out of Lowdham in Nottinghamshire. The Mammoth on the side is there logo as they found the remains of one at Lowdham (I think) Great to drive, good gearbox and power steering was a luxury in those days. The wipers worked on air pressure controlled from an air valve next to the sun visor. A very good work horse. 6 Speed crash gearbox. Wiggy.
  4. They have been at the GCR for a number of years now. I took some photo's for John at Silverfox before he brought out the model to get the roof correct. They were at Quorn & Woodhouse car park with no bogies standing on wooden sleepers for months I have been looking for the photo's but think I have lost them. Wiggy.
  5. Do you mean something like this. Enjoy. Wiggy.
  6. Any one had any problems with the Lenz 152 Xpressnet interface. Symptoms are that when you remove the hand controller from the bace station and plug into the 152 interface all I get on the display is 'HL-100' Does not matter what button I press it just stays at 'LH-100' All new interfaces and cables. The units power up (3 in all) tried using just one unit (152 that is) and only using one hand controller. I do know that if you use more that one controller you have to set each one an address. Have tried changing the address but still no joy. Tried another cable still the same. Reset to factory defaults, no joy. Any one any ideas.??????? Thanks, Wiggy.
