The Government in Egypt has asked the city's taxi drivers to drive around Cairo sounding their car horns. It is hoped that the familiar sounds of the city will induce a return to tranquillity and normality following the recent pandemic. Operation Toot 'n Calm 'Em will last for the rest of the week.

My work van went in for a service. It appeared the hand brake cable needed tightened but this piece of work was not on that mileage service schedule. So the garage doing the service phoned the company I worked for about this "additional" work and subsequent cost. My company phoned the lease company who owned the van. They phoned the garage to tell them to tighten the handbrake cable and to add in the "additional" costs to the bill.

Came across this online. PROSES PLB-902 Rotating Loco Cradle https://www.modellbahnshop-lippe.com/Tool/Tool/PROSES-PLB-902/gb/modell_225212.html I put mine in some pipe insulation or in a notch cut into three Pringles containers taped together. I suppose if this were fixed to a bench it would give good access. I suppose there are similar items out there but I just thought I would put this up. 86,00 €

Probably has them delivered in a gigantic Russian aircraft, which would be pretty sore on fuel. That would go someway to explaining the high cost.

Both Rails and Hattons are quoting £145.50 which equates to €162.38 at today's rate. Rails say the full MMRP is £167.5 which equates to €186.95.

Some years ago my wife and her sister took their mother shopping. One of the things on the list was a new bra for the mother in law. Anyway the expedition was made, the bra was bought and fitted and the old one dumped in the backseat of the car. There the bra lay in full view of anyone looking in the window. Of course I drove around and parked up for quite sometime without spotting the aforementioned garment. It finally came to light when I was in the local builder provider's yard and I went to fold down the seats. Enough said.

This has been on the go for years. You can see where the chain saw occasionally cuts the cross timbers but I just renew them as necessary. If you look at the "V" you should just make out the carpet gripper. The mainframe always stays intact.

Just thought I would put this up. RB Models in Tipperary still have some Murphy Model 201 class for sale. They have four models, 2x NIR blue and 2x Enterprise livery. I have a foldable homemade wooden saw horse. I put lengths of carpet gripper into the "V" section to help grip the wood being sawn. Might be of interest to any DIYers out there

You know those nudey "educational" films on the internet that you sort of come across by accident? Well that accidentally happened to me and the wife came in (to the kitchen not the "educational" film). "Not much social distancing there." Says the wife. Kind of spoiled the film
