  1. It is perfectly obvious what caused this damage. The damage occured bang smack in the area where you hold the loco when putting it on the track. Someone was putting this on the track and slipped putting all of the weight on the hand holding the loco and pushing it downwards. Seems there was a bulletin issued in Inchicore telling staff to be more careful.

  3. Don't be too vocal with the word "pallets". THE 12th is not that far away...
  4. This is from a supermarket in Northern Ireland.
  5. The printed detail on the fertiliser wagon states "tare weight 40 tons" (the real thing not the model). This seems heavy for empty stock especially as the load to be carried is given as 48 tons on the side of the model. I know they were substantial bits of hardwear but I did not think they were coming in at 40 tons unladen. Don't know why you bothered to fix the squeaking from the bogies as the real yokes squealed a lot. It saved someone fitting a decoder and speaker to the wagon to get that authentic squeaks and squeals!
  6. Accurascale And Rails of Sheffield ‘Sett’ To It By Unleashing The 'Badger' Class 89 OO Locomotive So continuing with the "Wind in the Willows" theme, I presume the "TOAD" brake van will be next
  7. Does it have the "NEM" coupling pocket?
  8. Programable function to allow oil to leak onto sleepers when on depot? The tracks will look very realistic after a short time.
  9. Yep they headed off in this borrowed GWR tank engine.
  10. There is a photo of one in it's cellophane wrapping in the "Interesting Photo" section. You can see it being manouvered prior to being encased in its foam, and then its plastic sleeve and then placed in its card board box.
  11. Anyone recognise this person in the photo?
  12. Regarding the above. I wish the local tyre repair crowd would be a bit more discreet about the nature of my business...
  13. You think it's bad when the Mrs sees your IRM and Accurascale boxes being delivered. Well things could be worse..
  14. Talking about my "controller" and using it to turn her on or off is a little on the personal side....
  15. Is there no hope?
  16. I am a bit of a novice regarding this whole sound chip thing. Could someone please tell me how to disable one...on the wife? Any advice would be gratefully appreciated.
  17. Here is an article I came across about the Irish Rail 201 class and the variety of liveries that have adorned them The 201 class—the Irish GM fleet with more than meets the eye. (tailtetours.com)
  18. Does anyone know of any videos online of how the Inchicore brigade fit their sound chips to the locos?
  19. We are being told by the Taoiseach that Anglo-Irish relations are at an all time low. Surely this is hardly the time to be launching models of this calibre onto the UK market?
  20. I hope this project was not done under the " self certification" criterion and that all stages of the project were fully checked and certified.
  21. Has anybody else noticed that buying IRM stuff and Accurascale stuff is a good aid to slimming. I noticed it. Not just for me but for the whole family. Fair enough the wife will never look as she did when I first met her but IRM/Accurascale are making it more of a possibility. Glad she kept some of her old clothes.
  22. I do not think Hornby will be too bothered about the new Accurascale Deltic. As far as I can see Accurascale have sold out all of the stock so if you still want a Deltic the Hornby one will perhaps be the only one in stock at your supplier. Fair enough the Hornby one is not in the same league as the Accurascale model but you accept that if you buy one. If it is not for you don't buy it. Me, I have a blue Lima Deltic which I am very fond of. Why you ask? Well my father walked from Drimnagh to Leinster Models in Phibsborough and bought it for me. It still has the pipe tobacco smell that comes with everything bought at Leinster models. Still runs beautifully. When I get an Accurascale Deltic both will be run. The Accurascale Deltic will look like it's just have an overhall and a new paint job and is just out on the tracks. They do look well but will probably look even better in my hands, with my glasses on and the light on too.
  23. Photos of the loco in question. Notice the wheel chocks in the second photo.
