Super detailed magnesite wagon 26608 has the instanter coupling fitted and the oil tail lamp that was used during the period of 1982.
Another masterpiece, well done IRM.Small details like lamps and couplings, always make a big difference to a model. Definitely, a must have.
Looks the business, Noel.

I'm in the same boat era wise. But I think I'll have to justify at least one pack to represent the stored wagons being moved to Limerick in the 90's. The bonus being they'll need a lot of rust added!
My thoughts exactly.

Great job on the Scalescenes kit, very neatly done.
And then, I see a chopper and space hopper in one of the back gardens. Can't beat that!

No one is gonna give out to ya!!
No, they certainly won't. My OCD dictates what I run on my layout, not other people's opinions.

Great result, Robert. Well worth the hard work. Very impressive.

The Magnesite is a fantastic looking wagon. The only reason I was reluctant to order a rake, was because they never made it as far as the IR/IE era, and were just too far outside my period of interest.
Seeing them running with the A Class above on Barrow Street has got me thinking. They look great together!

A similarly clumsy driver seems to have caught this by now faded Bell container in the same way:
Nice job on the BELL. I've a lump of these sitting on the bench half finished. Must get back around to them at some stage.

Same here. I actually prefer the look of the 121 running bonnet first. It's a pity it wasn't seen more often.
That's the joy of model railways. You can run what you want, how you want.

Like Patrick has said above, wouldn't be an area of interest for me either. But that is a savage looking model. Always preferred them with the ploughs, really bulks up their appearance in my opinion.

Were you the grinder or the grindee, or is the memory too painful to discuss?
Neither. More of a reoccurring nightmare. I usually have it after a few pints.

IRM, I’m not happy to say the least, I have now paid over the top for A30 from Private Supplier as I understood you had sold out. Rubbish ! I have purchased Eighteen A Class from you already. I recently received a demand of full payment for 13 Magnesite wagons when I had already paid £200 + towards the order, granted there are now in stock earlier than expected and I have agreed to pay then balance !
But I am beginning to think we are being taking for granted and that is not good enough. No excuses, thank you.Christ, that's harsher than somebody going at your nether regions with an angle grinder.

Hotel prices aside, the RPSI have offered a full refund for anybody who does now not want to travel on this Railtour, due to the absence of 112. It's dissapointing, but still looking forward to a great day out.

Yep, but especially on the one above. I'll say no more

Another batch of wagons are now on the bench. This time around, it's my 12 gypsum's along with 3 more ballast hoppers.
Spent the last couple of evenings highlighting some of the smaller details.
Loads have also been removed for some cosmetic work.
Wagons will eventually be weathered. When, is anyone's guess.

Really looking forward to this. Always an enjoyable day out, and with the added bonus of having 112 on duty.

How did you remove cab to fit a driver ? I have been wanting to fit drivers to my three 201’s.
Apologies, hadn't been on, so completely missed your post. I see you got sorted anyway.
